PALISTINIUM might have had the full spectrum sound system. Yet I would say overall the sound that played with the most melody throughout the various songs was Silverstone. And for those who don’t understand melody when it comes to sound. The harmonics of the various frequencies combined to resonate the air and evoke a sense that you’re feeling and hearing the music at the same moment .
Aint nothing wrongg with using virtual dj it can be used just like serato i dont use it but i see alot of djs use virtual you have to buy the program though its better when you purchase it.Also your db is supposed to be on 89 especially when you are playingg on a big sound. Its better that way because you have way more room for your machine to breath
Not knocking virtual DJ, don’t know enough about it to talk about it. I know some of my selectors love it because it’s easier for them. Less work. As for the 89 that should be fine as well. As long as you’re not going too high or too low.
I listened keenly to the reasoning on unity, which is there on a level, but needs to be more. I was in the US on holiday, passing thru Philly, and I stopped at the park. Yellow Movements was the only sound out there, they were so KIND to me , BIG UP Yellow and Queen Yellow and the crew, no one knew me , total stranger, and quick quick I was offered food and a beer. A so we fi roll, support each other, build from strength to strength. We haffi remember where sound system culture coming from, man did haffi tuff, the competition would send coupla rude boys to a next man dance fi bruk fight and mash up di dance. We need to grow up and move on , strong up di ting, look how it spread WORLDWIDE - Africa, Australia, Colombia, Guyana.....JA a di root, no apology. Long talking thru di passion and love, big up M Action channel and DSA, love di vibes

Wally, you are absolutely right. The body in Palastinum is great. Am listening on a phone, and i could hear the difference. It's full, dynamic, and just complete. Silver Stone clean!!!!!!! But for me a little more body would be perfect. Again my view
All I can say is yoU aRe a top engineer in this game !! Remember this SHEARING is caring, gone aRe them days when we used custom made AMPLIFIERS & PRE- AMPs that sounded like the price of builder who built it for yoU !! we all knew that price we paid them for that build didn’t make a sound system it’s the attitude that makes us DJ”s , Sound Engineers or Audiences or Producers keep keep up your teaching and learning remember this a good teacher is also a good Student not all teachers practice what the teach
I’m going to put some of the blame at your foot by saying unu should have stood in front of each sound when asking the crowd to represent yes it was far apart but considering for the average person who doesn’t know the format they can’t represent for one sound when they seeing you on another sound asking fi put up their hands a mile away! 👌🏿
But I can also say they all should have been where the mc was, being he keep saying everyone to follow him to the next sound. But I can look into that option next year.
Most of the Soundman them don’t know what they’re looking for because they will have their sound system sounding great and as soon as they hear another sound system they start making changes trying to out play them instead of playing to their best potential
One Generator wasn’t enough, considering there was 6 sounds playing at full capacity which these sounds are pulling 60 plus amps easily. Remember while you were thinking it’s six sounds they were playing more like 12 because these events are normally 8 Bass 4 Tops
that generator was more than enough you have 12 racks all turned on idling for no reason conserve the power one sound system on at a time will solve that problem the generaterwill run more stable just food for thought
After thinking about it more and more I think the generator had some issues 75 kilowatts should be able to handle this due to the fact that all sounds wasn't playing the same time.( I am not a generator expert don't ruff me up now)
I am not an electrician, but the way I get it 3 phase has greater power density, so wires can be 10 gauge. Most sounds are using 50 amp connectors and 6/4 cable , so I would agree, 3 phase not needed for sound system. I was watching the video and wondering why one sound wanted 3 phase.....good event DSA
Big up your self Wally B but something’s you say was right and some was not but I see the points you are making and I look into it as well I am a member of PISCES ♓️ SOUND you know me but I don’t think you remember me lol over all it was a good show case I which South Florida sounds would come together like this . Next year I will be there as long as life is my body I will make it there next year one thing you need to do it two time’s a year the meddle of the year and the end of the year
I totally agree with you both , too many sound men focus on this bass thing And it totally distort the top ends and i see this trends here in jamaica with bass and top screaming out loud smh
