Adore this, groove is beyond what my brain can take in one listen ao I have been obsessing over it 😂 I can't explain how many times I've listened!! Your ear for what should be accentuated in the song is perfection. This is one of my fav Guy Sebastian songs... my brain really latched onto the fill to end the first chorus (just after alternating hihat/ride) at 1:13 ish and then the drum fill to punctuate the first line of the second verse (so I keep the fire burnin'...) at 1:27 with the 2 and 4 snare hits (and/or possibly an anticipatory one? So is that 1 and 3? Lol) However you describe it, I'm about to buy a new set of headphones to hear it better :) Hope you can keep uploading... as a guitarist and wannabe drummer, your touch and ear for what to echo/amplify either in the vocal melody/harmony or bassline/guitar riff is TRULY satisfying to listen to!
