After moving house and having a period when I found my faith that I’d like to refer to as being born again, I briefly attended a church that preached Hyper Grace, but of course it was all in the context of getting emotional about the cross and how Jesus Christ died, so we don’t have to face the consequences and trying to follow the Law is trying to achieve salvation by works. I tried church discipline early on by Matthew 18 and 1 Corinthians 5, but I was bullied for it. It was a small congregation and half of the twenty or so people were from the same family, with a woman member in short skirt leading worship and praying, but always staring prayers in first person. These churches are often family-run, lack formality and discipline, they speak in tongues and their hypocrisy is astounding. When you try to exercise your Christian duty to lovingly and gently correct others, they make themselves the victim, like narcissistic abusers do. When I saw their Facebook profiles and the leaders’ photos with d@vil’s horn, dressed up as w1tches and death, seeing through them more just before my water baptism, there was a bizarre outburst by one of them, calling me a wolf in sheep’s clothing and throwing a childish tantrum in a letter that he didn’t want to respond to the following Sunday. I stopped going to the church, but I’d be deceiving myself if I did not accept that it did an awful lot of emotional and spiritual harm to experience this type of abuse. I’ve had a strong reformed Protestant background and despite my carnal life before, I wasn’t a completely new Christian. I still believe that the Almighty God removed me from that church after the Holy Spirit led me through their wickedness and false doctrines. In a way, my faith became stronger, I always seek biblical authority for everything and rely on God and the discernment He gave me.
I used to be vegan in the past. Even though I did pretty well, I was starting to lack certain nutrients that my body needs, and when I read 1 Timothy 4 said that in the last days, they are going to command people to abstain from meats, that's God telling me to give up veganism. Plus, veganism is rooted in witchcraft .
@@dpollock333 I know because I’ve been there. When I was vegan from 2014-2017, I was denouncing Jesus and Christianity. I was getting into New Age, using crystals, burning sage. I was also in Nichirien Buddhism, the same thing that Tina Turner practiced, and I was doing a lot of demonic stuff. I was in a backslidden state. It wasn’t until I came back to Jesus that I gave up veganism. Veganism is demonic, and yes, it is a religion.
Excellent, Dennis! When we don't get our own way and become "disappointed," this presupposes that I know what is best, and God doesn't! I have learned over several decades that just the opposite is true. I heard a phrase many years ago: "God gives His best to those who leave the choice up to Him." I have learned to walk with God. I have learned to stay flexible and allow Him to guide me one step at a time. He often surprises me, but never disappoints me.

No evangelical Christian believes that (straw man argument). On the other hand every true Christian understands that if your faith in Christ is genuine, you will have a passion to obey and follow Christ. No, you won't do it perfectly, but it will be the passion of your life. And any person who says he knows Jesus and has faith in Jesus, but has no desire to live a godly life, has never experienced genuine faith. As John writes: "And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." (1 John 3:3). Or as James puts it: "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (James 2:26)

If you know God is perfect in all His ways and His commandments are perfect, can a person go to heaven trying but never making the perfection of God? If you just want to passionately obey and follow Christ, will you be saved by just trying to do it?
@@orangeandslinky We are not saved by trying, but by trusting in Jesus. But with that trust and faith, we will experience a great desire to please and serve the Lord. So we are not saved by attempting to obey, but when we believe in Jesus, we receive the Holy Spirit who gives us the desire tp obey and follow Christ, and the grace to do it, although we will never do it perfectly.

I’ve seen many ugly people who are actually very Rich in PRIDE resisting the TRUTH, Christ. It’s difficult to enter heaven for calculating & cunning people of this World but very easy for those who simple minded or in other words, childlike.

Our sin has set us all on the road to hell and no amount of good will fix the sin we have done. We have ALL sinned. It is not about the type of sin or how much sin. It is about the fact that we have sinned. For that reason we all need a Savior. If we want forgiveness for our sin and peace with God. If we want to escape eternal hell. If we want to go to heaven we must understand the following. We DO NOT get saved (go to heaven), get right with God, forgiven, by being good, by being religious, by just believing in God, by praying a prayer, being baptized, asking or accepting Jesus into our hearts, accepting Jesus as our personal Saviour, confessing our sins, joining a church, cleaning up our lives, doing penance, taking the bread and the wine, or doing all these things accumulative. Salvation is a gift that is given to those who repent and come to faith. Eph. 2:8,9 Salvation takes repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Acts 20:21. testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Make no mistake. We cannot be a friend of Christ and remain a rebel against God and unless we repent we remain a rebel. The word repent, from the Greek word “metanoia”, means a change of mind or direction. God is not receiving those who almost or kind of repents. It is like the word About-face which is a 180 degree turn. We turn from not wanting God fully in our lives to willfully surrendering to Him to lead our lives. When any person comes to the place where they are broken over their sin toward God to the point that they want to get right with God no matter what it will cost them they are in a state/spirit of repentance toward God. Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. The repentant heart would walk away from anything or any one to get right with God. We then take that willing repentant heart we have towards God and place it on the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Master, because He paid the price for our sin, and that becomes faith. At that moment God’s grace through Christ is freely applied to us and we are born again, saved from eternal hell and sealed by the Spirit so that we will never again return to the practice of sinning. 1John 3:9,10. Our first command after salvation is to be baptized. Repentance of sin is the result of the new birth/salvation and will be part of the sanctification process and our new life with the Lord Jesus Christ, Eph 2:10. While we may sin from time to time after salvation it will never again be our practice 2Cor. 5:17, 1John 3:9,10. John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. REV. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. It all boils down to are we sorry/broken enough over our sins against God and do we want to get our hearts right with Him or not. Let us be sure that tomorrow does not belong to us.
Well i don't know about all that, babies die everyday from beatings etc but Trump who raped someone gets saved.... .i don't know what to think. Don't get me wrong i believe there is a God etc but when people say that kinda stuff, makes no sense to the people who die and to their families.
Dennis you usually do very good in explaining the bible but this time you are way off. "Backsliding for the believer is one of the false doctrines that has risen in the church. There is no such thing as "backsliding" of an individual. Backsliding is only mentioned in the OT and it is only applied to Israel as a nation, NEVER to an individual or to believers. Biblically a backslider is a people who have never known the Lord. Their forefathers knew Him but they are backslidden from previous generations. You are taking scripture out of context. It is always applied to the lost that were NEVER saved, comparing them to past generations of those who were saved, and as I said ONLY to the nation Israel. Again no saved person can "backslide." 1John 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. So you see it is IMPOSSIBLE for a real believer to return to sinning. Those who return are all false proclaimers. 1John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

You dont understand the Gospel of Grace. When we believe the ONLY Gospel that saves today(1 Cor 15:1-4) and not ANY of the OT Gospels of MMLJ written to Jews alone per Matt 10, or exhortations of the Hebrew epistles that were written to Jews in the time of Jacobs Trouble, we are saved FOREVER...Eph 1:13-14. Do we want to sin after believing? No. Will we sin? Yes. Everyone will sin even after believing the Gospel. 'Real believers' sinning have nothing to with the reality of the Grace of God. Your argument is unscriptural when rightly divided per 2 Tim 2:15.

If somebody said to me: "Hey, I love the whole world!" I would tell them that their are NOT of Christ. We know well that Christ hated this world Because it is from Satan, right. Jesus also put a lot of emphasis on how being lukewarm leads to rejection altogether. This is serious. That is why it is important to preach clear warnings, because time is very short, not only for Satan.
