Great fun! Great choice! I was taught not to pick up color from the end of the pencil with a wet brush because the wood of the pencil absorbs the water and this eventually weakens the core.
Mine won’t go to the cutting setting.. It won’t let me pick the kind of material I’m using ..it won’t let me to my cut screen……maybe it’s a problem with the machine…
Hi Marylou 🤗 What a wonderful, important message/advice!! We have been wanting to take that trip to the Ark, also🤗 Hoping all of our family can go together!! Thank You, and so happy you all got to go experience that. That is so AWSOME that your daughter is so excited for the sleepover!! What a Blessing for her~So Awsome🥰
My daughter and I are starting this. Between the two of us, we probably have nearly 1,000 books. It's a great idea to avoid that decision fatigue you mentioned. I hope to last until Day 20.
Well done ! Huge accomplishment. I also love books. I’m happy to say that over time, I’ve reduced my collection by … it’s gotta be 50%. But I could do more !! I love how you love to learn. I can relate . Happy Heavenly Father’s Day to day to your Dad ! And to mine !
LOVE LOVE LOVE that top shelf box for your "Projects". I have shoulder issues from reaching to high over my head. I'm thinking, a little fabric pull tab secured at the bottom front edge of my boxes on the top shelf might have saved my shoulder! May I ask WHERE did that box tray come from?
I love your idea of the fabric pull tab. I've had that box for years. It was a Christmas box that I found at a small town craft store that has long since closed down. I miss those kinds of places. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your idea.
Sorry you are going through so much all at the same time. It is such a blessing to find strength and comfort and peace beyond understanding in the word of God. I love this new project. They are so beautiful and you get to have purposeful quality time together! Thank you for sharing! Very inspirational! God bless you and your family! 💕💕💕
Super cards! Love the idea (and not just for kids) - Personal, creative, and purposeful. Sorry for your loss and all the difficult days. What a blessing to know that the Lord sustains through every kind of trial. Psalm 55:22
Hi MaryLou. This is my first time to your channel. You are such a delight to watch. Where do you purchase your doll patterns ? I love to save tins and use them throughout my sewing room. Reminds me of my mom who used tins in her sewing room, especially for a large array of buttons. I'll have to check out your other videos.
Welcome and thank you! My mom used tins in her sewing room too. I bought several doll patterns at the fabric store. My daughters and I scoured the "craft" part of the pattern books and picked out several when they were on sale for 99 cents and we've been using them for years. I also like the doll clothes books by JoAnn Hines. She has some great ideas.
If you are talking about the size percentage of the image, you set that on the design screen (the one with the grid) before you cut. To change that, return to the design screen and make your changes. If it is cutting a different size than you set, THAT is a problem and you should contact Cricut costumer service right away. In the U.S. their number is (877) 727-4288. They are very helpful, but plan on waiting on hold for a long time. 🙁
I’m an “out-of-sight-out-of-mind” person, so I would be putting the buttons in small jars (or even one big one). They would add such colorful decoration on a narrow wall shelf. Enjoyed your ideas.
Hi MaryLou. I really enjoyed this video. I haven’t sewn in years but I noticed I was getting more pleasure from sewing smaller projects too. You do beautiful work. Love your organization drawers. My thought about the buttons: I like how you sort by colour. I was thinking for all the other novelty packages you could sort by colour too. Eliminating the packaging would help with not feeling like there is so much. So have all the yellow round buttons in a pack then the yellow (or dominant colour yellow) oddly shaped buttons in their own pack. Sounds like a fun sorting project for Anne! Take care 💛
Thank you for your kind comments and Ideas. Anne and I are going to tackle those buttons soon and we will follow your suggestion. You are right that packaging does take up so much room and adds to the feeling of too much. I'll film the process so you can see our results.
The light green sweatshirt from the total eclipse event is a very beautiful color that lights up your face. I truly enjoy your videos on decluttering and do find your process inspiring, thank you for sharing, MaryLou 💚🌸👋!
That stamp, die & card storage method is the Jennifer McGuire method that she came up with many, many years ago, which the majority of the crafting communities on all sites use, so you watch her RU-vid craft room tour video if you haven’t already. Take care, 🎀 Lily 🎀
MaryLou. I just got a cricut and am having trouble with the cutting. Its cutting but its also cutting on to the grip thing lol idont know what to call it . Any tips on how to fix that?? im a newbie so any advice would be great thanks
There is usually a light cut into the mat with almost any material, but it shouldn't be deep and should not make removal from the mat difficult. If it is cutting very deeply it is cutting with too much pressure. You can go into the material screen (when you're in the cut section of Design Space) and lessen the pressure for any material. Click on the material and decrease the pressure in increments of 5. Do a small test cut at each level until it cuts the way you would like. Good luck. Don't give up. There is always a learning curve with any new crafting tool or device, but taking the time to figure it out is worth the trouble.
Some useful tips in your video. Perfect timing to view your video since I finished our taxes Yeah !) and cleaning and sorting our file cabinet this week. Relief! Annes wedding binder is very nice.
