A bit about me: I'm an actor and I make music but for my channel, I make content about my experiences with health anxiety, my hiatus hernia, and just general content along the way about my life and dealing with general anxiety.
I post videos every Tuesday and Thursday, and I hope that my channel brings you some ease!
Hi using the iqoro did you have any side effects ? Pain ? Choking or any odd sensations? Did you feel a difference whence you stopped using the device ? Ive tried all ppis and they either not working or giving ne terrible side effects so im just dribking gaviscon and rennies all day and having a very limited diet. Im going to try the cabbage juice diet to see if that helps
@@sorellefraser888 when I start Iqoro I do get some slight symptoms again, like the feeling in my throat/acid, only slight and it usually passes in a few days. I’m sorry ppis give you side effects, let me know how you get on with the juice
thank you for sharing your experiences and stories. think im going through somthing similar and i feel alot better having watched your videos from the sedation Vs throat spray to this video cheers matey
just started. doing a combo of biotin gummies, the hims 4in1 topical spray and then this might be overdoing it, the 5% minoxidil topical serum. i was doing a month or 2 months of the hims minoxidil 5% serum previously, and seeing definite improvements but my hairline is still not there. that's why i additionally got the 4in1 spray for the hairline. also, way before the serum, i was prescribed a minoxidil pill and that initially gave me the weirdest dreams I have ever had in a while and I stopped because it made my arms and other areas way hairier than I wanted them to be and plus wasnt really significantly improving my situation.
This is what i got right now constantly jumping form one to another within one month . Today i even got a fucking dream about this disease , this scared the shit out of me 🥲
I had an endoscopy, I wasn't even offered sedation. I wasn't treated very well in my opinion. I asked them to stop when I panicked when I couldn't swallow the tube/ camera, I genuinely wanted them to stop, but they didn't, they just carried on forcing it down. I was gagging and was under the impression I was in the wrong for doing that. i was severely traumatised. Awful experience
Had mine today. After a lot of thought I opted for the throat spray. After they sprayed my throat it got hot, and I asked how long for it to go numb. They didn’t answer me, instead they got me to lie down on my side, insert the mouth guard and without any verbal notice, the camera was inserted very quickly Kind of took me by surprise as I was expecting to be told instead of it just being inserted It passed very quickly past my throat and was only slightly uncomfortable but nothing major I did gag a number of times, but these were very minor gags and not worrying or uncomfortable. Lots of burping and whilst I could feel the tube pressing and moving around inside stomach it was ok. I did feel some pressing in lower stomach. I did gag throughout but as I say very minor ones Slightly uncomfortable when they brought the camera up. They did say my throat would be numb and feel restricted when they numbed it, but I didn’t notice this. The top of the inside of my mouth felt numb at the back, but I’m not sure if my throat was numbed as it all happened so fast I was anxious prior to today, but overall found it all to be very manageable, not painful, not that uncomfortable and generally easy all things considered I definitely will not stress if I ever need another one.
Hey. Im almost 24 and Im looking into starting treatment for my male pattern hair loss and was considering the hims topical 2 in 1. I have a few questions if thats okay to ask: 1) Has it genuinely helped you and do you overall recommend it? 2) Is it a must to apply it every day, and if so, do you apply in the morning or night? 3) Do you wash your hair everyday to rinse out the solution or is that not necessary? My reservation is that having to apply it everyday and making your hair feel greasy. Have you had that issue with this, and do you sleep with a bonnet or cap at night so that it doesn't mess up your pillow? 4) My last question is do you plan to use this indefinitely?
Just had a endoscopy procedure done today . Sedation is definitely the way to go as I ended up falling asleep and later woke up in recovery. they didn’t use throat numb spray for me so I do feel very raspy in the voice and my stomach feels bloated but otherwise it was a very quick procedure and I was pretty nervous about it . if you are anxious I recommend sedation and ask a whole lot of questions as it helps a lot to calm you down with how the procedure will be done
Thanks so much for the cat info. I live in a flat with my tabby and I'd hate to be the cause of his illness! He likes to sleep on my pillow in the day so I'm going to have to nip that in the bud now 😿
This video was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the happiness you got from the piano. Well done and thanks for not being lazy and to share this. Thankyou !!!
Thank you for this... having the test done in a few weeks and I've been really nervous... I've been dealing with gastroparesis for years and the ONE thing I have been terrified of is an NG tube....😣
Just had mine less then 2 hours ago,was going to have the sedation but I thought nope,il sooner face my fears, and I do not think it’s as bad as people are making it out to be,just take deep breaths,do as the doctor says and it’s over before you know it
From my understanding you’ll be ok to miss days here and there, although you should try to avoid that. It takes a few months to begin losing hair again after stopping
I was misdiagnosed with angina. I was under the cardiology department and had a CT scan to assess my heart and luckily was found to have no heart issues or blockages etc... but he did casually say that they did see a small hiatal hernia. I presented with shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, nausea, pain in the stomach, tingling down the left arm, sweating and a few trips to the ER beforehand. I still have these issues but have excessive burping (which I thought were a side effect of the beta-blockers I was put on) this is something I have never had before. I didn't know all of the digestive issues were associated with this. As years ago I developed issues with my throat. I sang in a choir and found (and to this day) I couldn't reach notes, I would begin to cough, my voice had no strength and was scratchy. I was told I had a nodule at first then had the camera down a second time to reveal LPR silent reflux, postnasal drip and sinusitis. I have had congestion most of my adult life. My mother was diagnosed with the same condition in her 50's like me so is there an hereditary component to this?
And This is why growing up in the 70s-80s was so much simpler and 1000x better. There was no internet/social media at your fingertips 24/7 to tell you that you are dying from 100000 different things. Things were simple then and not going 10000mph
I was referred to ENT and they put a camera down my nose and looked at my vocal chords and diagnosed me with muscle tension dysphonia. I am getting speech and language therapy exercises on the NHS, im also a singer
I had a normal endoscopy but have spent two years unable to eat or drink most foods, been on PPIs for a year and a half but now my doctors are saying there are long term risks such as weak bones of being on them so they want me to stop them. Worried the NHS won't do a PH manometry test for me because I'm not "ill enough"
Many thanks for this brilliant & much-needed video, John - sadly seen too late as I had my gastroscopy yesterday without the conscious sedation. I'm definitely having sedation for the next one in 2 mths time. Being a mother in my late 60's I inevitably have various previous experience of hospital procedures & operations - I don't consider myself to be particularly anxious or squeamish. I found it deeply unpleasant (...a euphemism) - despite the truly wonderful staff whom I can't praise highly enough. I remember thinking at one particular point, I wonder if this will traumatise me & will I get 'flashbacks'? Today I'm ok, but if I'd been younger, perhaps slightly more anxious & with less experience of hospitals, maybe not. I'm not being funny when I say that even our cat was given this 'conscious sedation' when he had a very similar recent exploratory. To me it's incredible that in this age of medical & technological advances, that we're performing this barbaric and 'mediaeval' practice. Oh yes, I was there for a total of 3hrs (as they'd previously warned - they were busy so long wait times beforehand - & for me, not a problem at all) and during that time, I was the only muggins who didn't ask for sedation. I asked the nurse who explained my options beforehand whether he'd ever had one. He said he'd had 2 gastroscopies a few years ago - both times WITH sedation. That really should have flagged it up to me, but he was so reassuring that it was just 'slight pressure' & 'brief discomfort'. Begs the question, how would he know? Afterwards, the nurse who explained my results asked me why I didn't ask for sedation (?!) & whether it was because I had no one to collect me or stay with me afterwards (not the case). So, my advice is don't play the 'hero', or worry that you're inconveniencing them in any way - get sedation!
