It's too bad that years have gone by with posts giving correct info, but ursula roma has not corrected the description. This is not "Bread and Roses" (Mimi Farina composed ONE of the melodies used over the years for the Oppenheim poem (which this is NOT). But thanks to @musesocialjusticechannel2420 who posted 2 years ago: "This is 'We All Sang Bread and Roses' by Sy Kahn with the introduction being sung by the four founding members who have sung in the choir since 1984." Amanda Walker also gave the correct title and writer 7 years ago.
This is lovely. This isn't the song "Bread and Roses", though, but is another song that references it. Do you know who wrote this song, and if they've published it, who sells the music for it?
I am an agnostic not church goer, but you got a good pope. He truly is a pope for all of us, you, Catholics, Protestants and Jews, and Muslims and Sikhs and even me. MY B is like well,, if he cared he would sell all the artwork in the vatican and feed the poor, and I am like HE TRIED TO , but the cardinals won't let him! He gave honor to gay unions, if not marriage. Give him ten years and he will sanctify that too.
Well, I'm an atheist myself, but the Jesus of the Bible seems to either actually be some form of socialist, or at the very least, lean pretty far left. So, at least in my opinion, you have FAR more evidence for your interpretation of it's meaning than conservatives do. Good luck! Believe it or not, you've got a lot of atheists rooting for you guys to win this one. Solidarity Forever.
