Hi! I'm Vanessa - tarot student, deck collector, crystal lover - come take a look at the decks in my collection. :)
I'll be uploading videos weekly about exploring different topics related to tarot, oracle, and the occasional crystals! For now, I'm mostly uploading deck flip throughs/mini reviews, and some snippets on my tarot learning journey. Ultimately, I want to be able to upload videos that will help tarot become more accessible and useful to more people.
I find tarot to be a great tool for learning about myself, and a great guide for day to day experiences. I also like that you can go as basic or as deep as you want with all the symbology and associations that each card brings. There's just so much to get into! :)
You’ve saved my life! I love my moon witch tarot deck but it physically hurts my hands to use and it’s just impractical for me. I didn’t realize how big they were until I got them and I love the deck so much but that’s the one thing that keeps me from using it daily; the size. I ran to her site to figure out which one was the regular tarot size and I’m so beyond happy I’m definitely getting it. Because it calls to me so much I just physically find it hard to use
Awesome! Glad you were able to check out that version. I also didn't realize how big and thick they were until I physically started working.with them. 😅
I may seem a bit biased, I'm honestly not, but the Corpus Femina Tarot is one of my top favorites to work with. Thank you for sharing it, Vanessa, and thank you for such wonderful words. Also, thanks for this video, I got to see the other Filipino-made decks. I would love to work with the Inklings Meditation Deck. Lovely artwork.
The companion book for the Barbara Walker deck definitely has more to offer and I feel is almost a must for me at least as that deck is so unique and pretty deep and blunt, lol
Omgggg you are so right about the shuffling!! I love this deck with all my heart but its crazy how difficulty shuffling can make me avoid a deck. Like, as quality as thick cards feel, we still need to be able to use it😂 Great vids btw! Hope u have a great day!☺️💕
Hi I enjoyed seeing your witchy decks, just commenting to let you know that it is very hard to see the cards properly when you are moving and waving them so much in front of the camera. I don't mean to be rude, because I appreciate you sharing your decks, but being able to view them in a more still position would be helpful!
@@Merlins.Daughter Thank you for the feedback! I do forget how much I move my hands when I talk, will definitely be more mindful about this in future videos.
Loving how The Flow Tarot looks. I have the Naturescapes Tarot, which I adopted from A Cup of Tarot. I love how each card "speaks" to me, even though it's just images of nature.
I have my eye on that deck too, I'm just worried it might be difficult to connect with... the walking mediation deck reminds me the most of naturescapes, and I'm having difficulty connecting with it.
I recently got the Animal Totem and I've been enjoying it. I love the artwork as well. That El Goliath Tarot does seem interesting. And I agree that we can use any Tarot deck for shadow work. I usually just "ask" them and whichever deck "stands out" gets picked. 😅 I've been eyeing on the Urban Crow, and have been thinking of getting one. <3
Thank you! I'm really hoping to showcase more Filipino made decks. It's slowly gaining popularity here and I'm seeing more on more creators making decks, just waiting for ones that would call out to me. :)
Hi! I discovered your channel a few days ago while looking for a review of the hellenic oracle that I just ordered! I find that this oracle has a beautiful vibratory energy : the illustrations as well as the descriptions. I use this plant "Achillée" in french, for its benefits during the period, because of its antispasmodic and menstrual cycle regulating properties. To relieve menstrual pain, it can be consumed as an infusion. Very happy to know that you are from the Philippines (my daughter would like to make her exchange of 3rd year in your countrie, interresting to have the key word BOUNDARIES! ), to the pleasure to exchange with you. Julie 🌻🌼🏵
Hi Julie! :) That's exciting for your daughter! I hope she enjoys the Philippines, when she does come. Thank you for sharing about the plant, it's always nice to learn something new. Hope you're having a great day!
Oh I've heard about that deck, I think it's a bit difficult to get here in the Philippines though, but thanks for the suggestion! I will be on the lookout for it. :)
I do have a section in the video that briefly goes over the contents of the guidebook and a sample reading using the guidebook at the end. Timestamps in the description.
If there is a deck you don't want to keep would you consider donating it . I desperately want a tarot deck and a Oracle deck but I don't have money to buy one in south Africa they are pretty expensive and I'm unemployed and living on a govnt grant only❤
As much as I want to help you get a deck, I think shipping cost to South Africa would also be quite expensive as well. :( Maybe there are places there that you can get them secondhand? Or consider printing or making your own deck to. start with?
I love decks with their own system and most of the ones you showcased here I didn't know yet! I have added 3 of them to my wishlist. Thanks for this video!
Wow it really took so much longer to ship to others. I also didn't notice the misspelling, but for the missing guidebook entry (feel and visualize) he mentioned he would make that available on the campaign page but unfortunately I don't think it was posted yet.
You introduced me to so many decks I didn’t know about thank you! So much to want to learn, explore and study and yet so little time! I totally feel that 😅 I’m thinking of doing some videos sharing what I’ve come to understand with dreams of Gaia because something about that deck really clicked for me. The structure and such. It’s definitely not RWS, but has a defined system for sure. I love the guidebook, but sometimes the long descriptions get a little focused on on a particular thing and it looses me a bit. But love that Ravynne welcomes each to build their own associations. Its beautiful, the art and concept. Nameless one is on my to-study list too! It’s structure is basically usual tarot. Its just so unique. I got the big grimoire and can confirm my wrists are challenged by it lmao. It’s a mammoth book but beautifully produced.
I know I will probably be studying for the rest of my life, but I am good with that! There's so many themes to explore and learn from. :) Oh I'd love to watch a video about the dreams of Gaia, watching videos about how people use their decks, and what they learn from them is another source of information I like getting into. And thanks for confirming my thoughts about the nameless one grimoire, I have yet to start getting into my ebook, but Im really excited because everyone has been raving about it too!
@@theexploracle The content of the nameless one grimoire is awesome! So much to dig into and glean from. And a great correspondence resource as well. I know truth in story has a wonderful series of videos about the dreams of gaia. That really helped me when I first got it. And LightBetweenStars has a couple of very helpful videos as well. I have a dreams of gaia playlist public that I shuffle any ones I find that have helped me understand it, and then had a major "click" moment later when working with it and laying out cards in different order. It's one of my fav decks now for personal practice.
@jaycuneo thanks for sharing those channels! I will also check them out. I think Dreams of Gaia is one of the decks that aligns with how I want to read. I need to spend more time with that deck!
Hi Vanessa! Your videos are always so much fun. I enjoyed seeing all of your cards. They are so beautiful. Love the mini decks. Wishing you a great week!
Hi Vanessa! I am here for it! I love looking at tarot collections. I have been doing the same thing, sharing my collection on YT and have been enjoying going over them. I Love the Vanessa Tarot so much. What an amazing story about the Future Ancestor Tarot! You got your deck back, I love that! Wonderful video!!!
I love watching tarot collection videos too! I like hearing what people think about their decks, and of course I just love looking at decks! I've followed your channel a few weeks back and can't wait to see more! Have a great day!
Hi there! The cards are very beautiful. The death card is not that bad, it depicts what happens in nature. The 3 of Swords was really cool. Oh Wow, can't believe the Death card came out! I own the book you have and it is great! Thank you for the Flip Through.Wishing you a great day!
Hi, Vanessa, so nice to meet you through this tag! 😀 Love your choice of showing the SEAMS Tarot! It was interesting to hear you share that Filipinos are known for hospitality; it's definitely common to see Filipino nurses in the US; I didn't know it was common or commonly known in the Philippines as well 😮 Also cool to hear about your experience with being raised Catholic and also doing tarot, while you still keep the two separate, it sounds like! I love that you share Filipino decks on your channel. I actually shared it with my friends (specifically my Asian tarot friends lol) to make sure they also know of other Filipino-made decks 😀 Loved hearing from you, & hope to see more VRs from you!
Thank you for making the tag and inspiring me to do it! :) I've been wanting to participate in one for a while, and this tag just seemed perfect to start with. So glad I found your channel too, it's great to see other Asians on tarot tube and I love hearing your thoughts on different tarot topics! And thanks for sharing the Filipino made tarot decks as well! I think there are a lot of gems made by Filipino creators, although they might not be as easy to get in the US, I still love showing them off!
These cards are just so beautiful. I really appreciate your review. I have these on my wishlist and would love to get them this year. Wishing you a wonderful day!! ❤
I actually have a funny story about this deck, I did use it for a bit but felt it didn't read too well for me so I rehomed it. However, recently, I missed it and got it back in a trade. I have used it once since getting it back, and it was a very meaningful reading for me, but I haven't used it since. I don't think it's a deck I would reach out for regular readings but there would be times I would want to reach out for it, and it reads well for that specific instance.
