I used to have 12hr screen time daily and now come to 3hr+ (work required) A very efficient way to reduce a huge amount of screen time will be set the rule that You are not able to use ur phone during 1. Your phone is charging (tried not to charge your phone overnight, charge it before 1-2hr before sleep time, or when u wake up in the morning and u go brush teeth etc) 2. When having meal These 2 help a lot Welp youtube premium help with reduce screentime too because u can just closed the screen and listen only Listen to podcast instead of watching video and scrolling Set screen turn off after 30sec inactive
Everybody gansta about reducing screen time until their SO texts you... I spend easily 1-2 hours a day that way I wouldn't change it. Screen time averages 3 hours.
I’m trying to lower my screen time as well so I’ve been watching a lot of these types of videos as inspiration? …just out of curiosity, after you completed the challenge….what did your average screen time typically look like? (Did it ever go back to the 5-6 hours a day)
my average screen time now is around 3-4 hours every day! after the challenge ends you have to still keep a level of self control in keeping your screen time level lower
it actually wasn't clickbait haha, i didn't mention it in the video, but there was one day where I reached 10 hours on my phone in november of 2023 from reading webtoon comics 💀
This summer, I relized my screen time was at over 7 hours?! That’s about a whole school day. So I put a limit on the apps I used the most(Pinterest and RU-vid) and they are set for 30 on yt and 45(?) on Pinterest. I have been using my phone a lot less!! I’m not down to about 4-3 hours or less, but I usually leave my phone on for background noise. I’m hoping to keep it down at around 3hrs
tbh I think I can make it until 1h, since I'm using my phone a lot to talk to friends or even for useful uses (like google map, Apple Pay), taking photos etc I'm currently at 3/4h (which is a lot to me), this video motivated me to reduce it!
That's very nice that your screen time on your smartphone is now significantly less. BUT wait, I keep seeing you on your laptop in the video, how much screen time do you have there? Because I know the problem, you don't use your smartphone any more, you just shift everything to your laptop and the bottom line is that you lose the same number of hours....
I honestly didn't track the time on my laptop but my laptop was mostly used to do homework. One of the biggest things I was trying to eliminate was scrolling and I successfully did that!
@@kailani_song I understand, it would be interesting to see a follow-up video where you also measure the hours you spend on your laptop. Wouldn't that be an interesting video idea?
Nice challenge! Instead of just focusing on how much time we spend on our phones, we should also think *about what we do with it*. For example, if you have a long-distance friendship, it's hard to mantain it without videochatting every now and then! And a videochat can easily add an hour or two to your screentime. But is that bad? No. An hour of screentime spent talking with a friend is *far more valuable* than 30 minutes of brainless scrolling. So.. are we spending too much time on the wrong things and not enough on the right things? That's the question we should ask ourselves :) I'd like to see the same challenge with computer screentime! That would be interesting ⭐🙌
I'm sorry, but can I ask you for something, this video is in English and there are no subtitles in my language, I wonder if you can write what we will do to me from here, there is a translation feature in the comments
what I did is going to sound so nerdy but I started doing a whole bunch of division for fun,, like I would divide 100 digit numbers in my head (ish?) to try and get faster at division i also got more into drawing and tried to improve my skills
I remember in quarantine my screentime was almost 15 hours one time,GOD. But now I've improved alot, since last 2 or 1 year. But i need my phone to study since i dont have a laptop. But im telling you,i was 12 back then and it ruined me. Now my brother is that age,he is same and im stresses just by looking at him
I did it! I managed to get rid of my old RU-vid account, which I used to watch memes and brainrot! It also deleted my other channels for watching French practice and productivity tip vids, but I made new ones so that's alright. And even just by doing THAT, I've been wanting to spend more time on stuff like studying! My Anki stats right now are off the charts! Even when I'm on RU-vid (for a bit less time than I was before), I'm actually learning from what I'm watching by taking notes and studying them. My French learning has improved so much in just a few days. :)
I'll start from 29 august 24 First week:7hrs Failed+went so far to 12 Have seen this video and got more idea of how to make my phone away:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3XBVG-yLYBU.htmlsi=0RGIj-pdg75zUtAb But today in Friday, i started the 5hr and the result are 2hr,42min Second week:5hr Third week:3hr Fourth week:1h,10min Fifth week:1hr Sixth week:44 min I'll be updating at the end of each week.
My goal is 2 hours screen time on phone, one hour just for media and lets say while having dinner i need some entertainment and second hour reserved for only chats that i get from internship ward and my doctor plus it includes call, i have decided as soon as i hit 2 hours my phone will be switched off till the next day, my goal is to study 12-14 hours a day since for my medical licensing exam i gotta do everything for it, my goal is to read a lot of books in those hours which i waste doing nothing, learning about drawing which is my hobby and reading some books regarding finance, maybe learn editing , i will say it as productive procrastination, i feel like 3 hours of phone time is still healthy on a chill day but more then that is definitely destructive for your whole life, lets hope for the best, my challenge will be until my medical licensing exam in January and until my end of internship so i can crack another licensing exam for residency in usa /uk i.e total time period of 1 and a half year
