braided line and haulin them straight to the boat without letting them put up a fight, found my new favourite fisherman... that's exactly what I do on any type of bait 🤣
I just watched him on bass after dark and you would think "maybe Tom is just saying this to be different" but 10 years ago he's says, "sharp hooks, you don't set the hook with a sharp hook, you just reel into them"
i have no idea why you guys stopped doing this series. it was the coolest series ever produced in the fishing world. you guys need to bring it back for the tackle warehouse series
If like me the lakes by your home are shallow averaging under 12' and huge areas of thick grass and massive areas of lilly pads start showing up by early May and both are full of better than average sized bass you either get real good at frogging and T-riggs or you loose 50%+ of the best bass habitat available to you And 70% of the days I toss a frog I catch bass and their average size is way better than when I toss a T-Rigged SP I do mostly shore fishing and are always shocked when me or my kids are the ONLY fisherman tossing a frog everyone else we see is tossing weedless jigs or SP's rigged weedles or buzz baits very very few ever are using frogs My sons and I all have dedicated frog setups with 7' to 7'3" heavy power rods with fast action tips 50 or 60lb Power Pro braid If I know I will be fishing into a strong wind Ill use 50lb braid to get farther casts my most productive frog has been one on the smaller size and 3/8oz once I went to a smaller more compact frog my hookup ratio went from about 45% to about 75% Went to 100% Power Pro braid after loosing a whale that ate my frog and I had 20lb mono and it broke before I could winch her out of the thick stuff That was several 100 bass ago on frogs and with 50-60lb braid Ive been able to winch out every bass with ease some encapsulate in a mass of weeds bigger than a basketball If you're fishing a frog in heavy cover and 3-5lb bass are common and you're not using at least 30lb test line better get get use to loosing fish frogs and money. Listen to this man he knows where of he speaks I will be adding several of his frogs to my frog arsenal
