Welcome everyone from all walks of life! We are farmers in Mid Canterbury, New Zealand welling to show you past the farm gate on this arable and diary grazing farm. The machinery, equipment and livestock are our passion, we enjoy what we do and hope you enjoy watching our content. Keep It Rural
Govt are morons. The rivers deposit and build up. If you don't use that then they will build up and move. They should be putting rock on trains and dumping it on the coast at oamaru. Solve two problems at once using the rail line.
IT'S NOT JUST THE FARMERS WHO HAVE HAD ENOUGH !! many many N.Zers are really pissed at this socialist government, with their social engineering, introducing apartheid and generally screwing up N.Z. and our way of life, N.Z. was once the #1 country on the planet to live in, we are now way down the list of desirable countries, people now feel alienated and worried as to where this control freak of a so called " leader " is taking us, for a supposedly intelligent woman, she's not the sharpest tool in the shed !! GO N.Z. FARMERS !!
We are blaming livestock burps and manure for climate change? Oh please. The GHGs from them are natural because they are a part of the atmospheric carbon-cycle just like water-cycle. Even if we increase the herd size, these natural emissions don't add extra carbons into the atmosphere. We must instead worry about burning fossil fuels which emit unnatural GHGs. Emissions from burning fossil fuels are the ones that add extra carbon in the atmosphere ultimately driving the global warming. Stop blaming the cows. My best wishes to the farmers...Support from 🇮🇳.
Farmers have become so used to taxpayer bailouts, basically getting someone else to cleanup their mess, that the idea of taking responsibility for it themselves causes a 'howl of protest.'
Thanks for the video mate. Our last two spans drove through the goal post on our pivot three weeks ago just out of Martinbough. Our roto Rainer hasn’t moved for 20yrs. I’m thinking of just flooding a few paddocks with the lay flat hose. We’ve got the same trailer for the hose. Do you just put the gear box in neutral to roll it out or is the pto helping to push it out? Cheers
Hi mate Cheers Na the gearbox only has the one gear and no neutral. To wind in a hose, connect the p.t.o shaft and put the tractor in gear. To wind out the hose just take the p.t.o shaft off the chain, sprockets and gearbox will spin freely.
Is there any chance that you might,at a wild guest be a Canterbury supporter??? Clothes might be a slight give away. I'm in Aussie these days but you know what bro......go The Chiefs 😉😊
Awesome video mate! 👍 sure has been a interesting winter and spring so far for us aye. Still trying to dry things out over here at whinchmore. Cheers n beer's 👍👍🍻🍻👨🔧🚜
E-can must be a massive pain in the butt, will they ever get on top of nitrates? Next question what have your costs done in the last ten years? Im asking because a consultant told me they had nearly doubled from $800 a cow to as high as 16-1700 pr head.
I'm not sure on pricing per cow as we only graze. But all prizes have gone up for sure. E-can need to work with farmers not against farmers for a better outcome
Hey mate love ya vids I’m a dairy and beef farmer from Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 I’ve never seen such rocky/pebbley ground before does it effect the machines at all?
Couldn’t see if you were using the shatter boards on the Cambridge rollers .How long do you keep the grass mix going in your rotation and have you got a planned rotation. On your previous video about keeping records it sounds like you’ve got people looking over your shoulder trying to tell you how to farm which would be annoying for me and maybe your father ?
Unfortunately don't quite have the horse power to pull have the boards. Oh no we farm the way we want, we do have a crop rotation! But grass is for 2 years. Cheers
Hi We are happy with how it's going thanks. Na the dirt doesn't stick that bad, this season a bit worse than others. With out knowing your horsepower, soil type or what your wanting to do, I will push you towards the rollers. Cheers
