The scene worked better as is. It actually made the audience feel like one of the people on the beach. “What was that?” “What the hell?” Then the blood in the water made everyone panic. It was effective. Also the attack, what little they were able to show looked more real like how a shark would actually take their food. Come up from under at speed, grab the kid while partially coming out of the water and drag him under to eat. It’s how a shark would actually do it. The only problem is the water would not be near deep enough for that kind of actual attack but nobody watches Jaws for accuracy on shark behavior and capability.
Yes, it's time. Love Jackman, but if we want a good X-Men launch, and follow-on movies, it's time to consider a different actor. Daniel Radcliffe could crush this
And if we had seen the shark at that stage then we'd probably lose one of the most famous lines from the movie "We're gonna need a bigger boat" from when we get our first proper look when Brody is chumming the water.
Honestly Jaws 2 and 3 are pretty interchangeable. Like you said, it's the first movie, but this time it includes teenagers (also it's trying to be more of a horror movie). Jaws 3 continues the story with the Brodie's son trapped in sea-world. But, the popular opinion is that Jaws 2 is better. Plus we didn't need a third Jaws movie anyway.
My ranking 1: Jaws No need to explain why this is ranked here 2: Jaws 2 My favorite of the sequel and an alright movie. Yeah it’s just a copy and paste of the first movie, but it has a higher kill count and made shark more of a threat. 3. Jaws 3D A hilariously bad movie 4: Jaws: The Revenge This movie can F off. The only positive thing in the movie is the opening with Sean’s death. A pretty scary scene with the shark attacking Sean, him screaming for help and the Christmas singing in the background. Too bad the rest movie of the movie was awful
I just caught the end of the drive in's as a teenager. Wow they were so much fun, half the time nobody even watched the movie, It was party central!! A real gong show. Went back to the site of our local drive in 20 years ago. Everything was still there. Speakers dangling, screen sagging and falling apart, even the concession was still there!! A couple years ago I was looking for a place to set up a live in R.V. you guessed it, our old drive in had been turned into impromptu R.V. site.
I recall in my younger years the drive in movies they were fun but people forgot to put the audio box back on the holder when we pulled away they dangled there but gee I wish they would come back it’s probably never going to happen. ❤❤
It was amazing. David's own words and his music. It was intense and often emotional to watch. If you love Bowie you will be moved and inspired by this film. Also apparent in this film is David loved his life and the journey he was on. I came away from that viewing with the same deep belief how fortunate I have been to live on Earth at the same time as David. He was rare and brilliant, clever and insightful. He remains my muse.
I love the end of The Mist but it's so hard to take. Like your choices but your #1 I haven't seen. Wished you would talk on screen instead of off. Love Halloween Episode you two did.
They have always been a mediocre franchise, I guess they don't want to improve and want to stay on this path. Can't blame them. Fans will continue to eat it up and the folks at Marvel will continue to make it. "If you expect disappointment, then you can never really be disappointed".
The problem is disney. The sheer amount of shows is obviously disney pushing marvel to make as much as they can to keep disney+ relevant. If marvel wasn't stretched so thin between so many shows and movies, they would be able to deliver better, the vfx artists and writers wouldn't be tasked with working on tight deadlines
Iron Man and Captain America were the big draw for the MCU and now that they're gone, who's going to bring people to these movies. Phase Five is in Trouble because there is no one in this new phase of MCU films to draw people in. So, they're making the same mistake that Star Wars did, relying too heavily on nostalgia rather than putting in the work to get us to care about the new characters. By all rights Thor and Dr. Strange should be the characters they build the new phase around. But, the common complaint I keep hearing is that these characters are being sidelined in their own movies.
Y’all need to stop acting like the first group of Marvel movies were good. Thor sucked captain America was ass the only good movies were Iron man and The Avengers. Marvel is doing fine. Marvel fans have gotten spoiled and can not be pleased. You see what’s going on at Sony and DC, would y’all rather that?
It’s amazing it took most people this long to realize that after captain marvel and spiderman homecoming it was obviously over. It ended when the Russo’s left. End game was THE END. Everything else has been shit.
Marvel's lack of uniqueness is a byproduct of Hollywood following the leader. Along with franchise fatigue. I've been way less invested since endgame. Only checking out the new spiderman and doctor strange. Then watching falcon and the winter soldier, and wandavision thanks to borrowing my sisters disney+ account while she was out of town. Everything else just doesn't draw me in.
the whole MCU has been incredibly shaky as of late, which is disappointing considering how good we know it can be. It just feels lazy, but hopefully they can resolve that in the near future. Good vid btw, just popped up in my recommended lmao
