If I pretreat the whole vehicle with rinse less, but where I stated has dried by the time I get around and ready with the sponge should I re-spray or is it safe to just start with the sponge?
Jeep question for you guys: When I return from a weekend off-road trip, and the Jeep is covered in mud, what is the best pre-treater to use before I wash it? Should I Mix Incredible Suds and All Clean to foam it for a pre-treatment? Or pre-treat with something else, like rinseless wash? I know hitting it with the pressure washer is terrible. I would appreciate advice on the best set of steps.
Q: Is it safe to wash the engine bay with water and soap like that ? Don't want to harm my car if I do it alone. Q: How long to wait for it to dry before I'll start the engine ?
I’ve been a huge supporter of pretreating paint before cleaning. Now that it’s warmer, I’ve been enjoying soap washing my 8 year DIY coated car weekly. I found myself pretreating a lot more with your rinseless and then following up with soap and a topper. The rinseless as a pretreat is well worth a try; it completely blew me away how well of a job it did and it’s very economical. I’m like Nick, I like to think more product equals a better clean but just the 256:1 of the rinseless works wonders on pretreating my car.
This is the best coating on the market to date. I coated my TESLA model Y one week ago, and nothing sticks to it, not even bugs or dust. I washed it for the first time today, and the hydrophobics are second to none. Nothing else compares. If you're considering investing $300 into a ceramic coating, this will be money well spent. I've coated four cars so far for people at work, myself, and my next-door neighbor, and they are raving about this coating. Now my phone is ringing with others wanting the same coating for their vehicles.
I pre treat with foamed or sprayed gsf + rinseless. Only on soiled areas. Rinse. Pre treat again with spray, then I proceed with a normal rinseless wash.
What about putting an once of all clean in the foam cannon with incredible suds to super charge it...getting 85 to 90 percent of the grime before a contact wash
Lately I've seen an increase in people applying things like tire and wheel cleaners with their foam cannons; basically putting in the solution in full strength or 1:1 and letting the cannon do the diluting. I'm sure you wouldn't generally recommend this because I feel like it would be a bit more wasteful, but do you have an other thoughts on that method?
Can you dumb it down for me please, with regards to how often do I need to cleanup polish pad. I’m definitely going with your gold standard kit, but is it necessary to clean the pad after every panel? Or after every “shoulder with” pass? You mentioned it earlier about no need to purchase 5, 6 pads for one car. I feel like that’s what I was going to do. Thanks so much for your response…worried driveway novice here lol
Great video, glad to have someone who knows tell people NOT to power wash a 'dry' car. that a pre-treat IS needed, especially the dirtier the car is. Now, I know the answer to my question on FB about pre-soaking. That answer is "It depends." Depends on how the car has been protected AND how dirty it currently is.
Awesome tips. Going to add to my polishing tips notes to rember to do when I start a polish job. Sometimes rushing through the work you forget so I need to write it down
Hi Yvan. When using your Rinseless during a WCC outdoors in the sun, if I were to spray the whole car and not do one panel at a time, how long would it take more or less for the water to dry on the paint, thus leaving me in a dangerous situation? I understand by the way that it depends on various factors but I just want to get an idea please. Also, if it were to dry on the paint after an hour or two, what should I do at that point?
Used your incredible suds today and was super happy! Very slick and stuck to the surface really well. Currently using your DIY ecosystem (incredible suds, ceramic gloss, and quick beads).....completely satisfied. you guys did it right!
My wife was "eavesdropping" as I watched this video and said: "Are they trying to sell you something?" I said yes, they are trying to "sell me" the proper techniques and process about coatings and applications, then she asked "Don't you already KNOW all of this?" I told her I knew the BASICS, but not the science behind and about coatings. She is a typical person, who likes a shiny car, but has no interest in the processes that GIVE HER the shiny car she likes, whereas I can watch detailing videos like yours, all day and be raptly interested. A friend of hers said that: "Watching someone 'wash a car,' is like watching someone mow a lawn." - I've been known to watch those too. 🤣
Question: If i want to finish with the red jeweling pad with the rotary should I just leave the polish on the vehicle from the first step when i used the yellow waffle prior?
Been totally wanting something like this! Just washed yesterday and wonder about process….. Rinseless, rinse, rinseless then sponge Do I really need all clean on bottom panels I do need to use all clean on bumper Can’t wait for this video!
I do wheels and rocker panels will all clean in ik foamer, then pretreat rest of car with Rinsless wash then legacy sponge in bucket of rinseless wash. Dont show me something that makes me change my routine :)
Hey Yvan, this looks like a killer product, yet again giving great solutions to problems that are somewhat contentious in detailing (i.e. SF vs Ceramic vs SF + Ceramic). Very excited to try this, I'll have to hit up CarCareCoAU for when they can expect stock. With polishing trim, would most hybrid type polishes work for the job, something like 3D ONE? Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge, we all appreciate you!!
Hey Yvan. If a car has wax on it and I want to do a WCC, is there something that I have to keep in mind or do in order to maybe remove to wax before hand or no? Not sure if I can simply do the WCC method just as per normal if the car has wax on it.
You will notice that we mentioned at the beginning we pre-washed off camera. This was the second video we ever made Take a look at this, you will see improvement ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VkGJOrLotII.htmlsi=JoHxC6Q-6ccrSwsM
Why are some detailers such smart asses? I have picked up on that in some forums. Lots of sarcasm. What is your experience with tacomas clear coat? It's a 2015. Is it true that a true ceramic coating come in glass? Or in your case aluminum.
Question. The car I plan to coat (Model 3) is not only new but also very recently built, ergo I don’t think the paint is more than a month and I’ve read there could be issues with offgassing until after 90 days, but that some coatings might be permeable and ok to apply before that. Would there be any concerns about prepping and coating with Hydro Lite if the paint and clear coat is only a month old?
