I wanted to learn the Our Father in Italian for an Italian mass next weekend. I figured a song would be the easiest way. Thank you for this. I love the light melody. It was slow enough to learn and repeat quickly when spoken. What a wonderful way to pray.
Jollof rice comes from SENEGAL, Saint Louis during the french colonization. Nothing to with the Jollof empire as the name suggests. From Senegal it spread across West Africa. If Jollof rice did not originate in Senegal UNESCO would never recognize its origins in SAINT LOUIS. Do you really think unesco did not research before confirming its origin in Senegal?
Thank you for commenting! This video is shot in Senegal and is all about Senegalese cooking. Today's Saint Louis in northern Senegal was in the heart of the ancient Jollof Empire, where the ethnical group WOLOF originates from. There are many theories on how this dish was spread all over West Africa. Thank you
@@TheEvakunda Saint Louis is a city founded during the colonization nothing to do with the Jollof empire, Iam from Senegal so I know my country. You saying the Wolof people because you are trying to suggest that it originated in Mauritania and Gambia too because there are Wolof in those countries. The dish originated in Senegal from a city called Saint Louis during colonization so nothing to do with the Wolof or the Jollof empire. Saint Louis is SENEGALESE history not the Wolof not the Jollof empire. if it was from the Jollof empire we would be the first to say so and since we Senegalese say its from Saint Louis you have to respect what we say instead of wanting to dictate us our history. Stop being disrepectful.
@@marni12196 I am sorry if I offended you by producing this video. It is made out of Love and Joy only - Love for Senegal, love for Senegalese cooking and cultures. Take care.
