Now hang on. Each adaptation is according to the time of making. TV was still primitive and scenery wobbled. The essence of the story is there. I enjoy the differences. The longer versions tell it all. There are 3 that I have. They all 'take me away'. Just enjoy it. J
Thanks for posting this. It's so bad it's embarrassing! 😆It is the worst adaptation yet by every measure. However, it makes one appreciate the merits of the others.😀
i’m watching every single version of jane eyre tonight, this one’s so strange because of the very american-ness of it all! kevin mccarthy is always the doctor from invasion of the body snatchers for me, but i actually like this sorta kinda maybe rochester; thanks for sharing!
Not I. Men of the NWO are eternally bro zoned at best and nemesis zoned at worst. I know my love too well to quote Morrissey. I guess nobody cares. You won the world, congrats 😎 I’m not interested and talk to the hand as per the popular 90s catchphrase ✋sinners of the earth (who earthblocked me from finding the one) Hope you’re happy earthlings. Please repent
For once, the unfortunate Mrs. Rochester looks like a mentally ill woman rather than some kind of monster. I never knew about this version, or any others from the early TV shows. They're good, and leave out details that aren't necessary or can be redundant, they get to the heart of the story.
HORRIBLE ESTA VERSIÓN. ¿ DODE ESTAN TIMOTHY DALTON Y ZELAH CLARKE.? GRACIAS HA RU-vid QUE ESA VERSIÓN AÚN LA PODEMOS DIFRUTAR. MUCHAS GRACIAS POR NO QUITARLA .MARI CARMEN MÉNDEZ SEIJAS.
Hello, it's February of 2022. I tried several times to watch this version, but it wouldn't load. Can someone tell me please how you made it load. Thank you.
American actors attempting to speak with an English accent! Spoils this English literary classic for my; however thank you for taking the time to upload this version.
Thanks for uploading. I love these old oddities, and comparing the different adaptations of my favourite novel. This one isn't too bad and it's good to see a Rochester who isn't scowling all the time! Lol. It's great to see Doris Roberts (Marie in Everybody Loves Raymond) as Rochester's mad wife! :)
+A Free Verse I'm sorry that I don't have the second half. I was able to see this on VHS by going through the interlibrary loan system at my local library if you would like to try that - www.worldcat.org/title/importance-of-being-earnest/oclc/8417208
