I'm a chemical engineer (Ph.D), working on developing better Lithium ion batteries, who devotes all spare time into fishing. Hope you enjoy watching my videos, and please comment, like, subscribe if you haven't done so. Stay tuned and Tight lines!

So i guess fish are going over the falls and not dying? How else would they get there? Down river is miles of class 5 and 6 rapids. Dont think they can swim up it, or want to.
Of course it's the American side. They don't allow cool stuff like this on the Canadian side..... unless it's a giant zipline that takes up tonnes of space. Screw natural and accessibility. Canada wants zip lines!
very cool man I just got a 5hp Honda which is great for one person on a 11foot SIB. Looking for upgrades and seems like most companies these days the 9.9s are actually detuned 20s with big weight. The Tohatsu 9.8 EFI that just came out seems like a winner.
This is a good solution but unless you have long portages over rough, hilly or uneven terrain, it seems a bit overkill. I use a similar strap system on the PVC cart I created but I cut the strap in half and permanently attached each "cut" end to a rail on opposing sides of the cart. When the kayak is placed on the cart, it takes all of 5 seconds to simply pull each strap over the top and snap the buckle - just like putting on your seatbelt. It may not survive a tornado, but it easily gets my kayak from my truck to the water each and every time. The headline does say for a "ROUGH road" so I'll just add that I've had mine topple over sideways on occasion and when it did, was still securely attached to the cart so I simply set it upright to continue. I continue to be dumbfounded by the diminished capabilities of people to figure anything out anymore. I think if you need a video to know how to strap something down, you probably shouldn't be hauling those items.
My carrt came with 2 ratchet straps and 2 tie straps. ZERO instructions.😅 I figured it out and tied it down. The cart collapsed.😅 Then one of the ratchets wouldn't loosen. I'm done. Going to the store to get a 15' CAM strap and give this a go. Thanks so much!
Hi mate ,,,,,,,you know that you could put some green led lights on the pole just above your transducer mount,,,,just zip tie the led lights on the pole for night fishing well that's my idea 💡 😉
Hi friend, question pls, is it much harder to start 9.8 vs 6hp? Im looking into 9.8 manual start EFI, i wonder if its much harder to start that engine vs 6hp
This is really useful. It seems to me this little "experiment" suggests that there's no good reason to keep using plastic baits on jigs, which is especially relevant in light of the latest research on potential pollution effects of soft plastics - see a new paper from Wolf-Christian Lewin and co-authors called, "Soft plastic fishing lures as a potential source of chemical pollution - Chemical analyses, toxicological relevance, and anglers’ perspectives." I'd post the link but I think RU-vid doesn't generally allow that. Easy to find through a search.
My cart had the same useless instructions. Your method worked for me on the way out, but forgot the method by the return trip so actually just asked someone to help carry. Upcoming outing tomorrow, am preparing by watching again, hope not to forget. Thanks for making this video!
It worked excellently and my BF was impressed. Once you do it, you know why other methods don’t work. Key element is to run strap through handles / deck bungees so it doesn’t slide to end of kayak. Many thanks!!!
I have a 10ft v haul aluminum boat, estimated weight 130lb. I was able to go 18mph up stream solo and 11mph with 2 people. I bought the Nissan 6hp, same thing as the tohatsu and used your video as an encouragement to buy it. Thanks!
Very helpful. I just bought an Eckland Kayak cart made in Germany. I couldn’t figure out the best way to connect and your video really helped. Ive already connected and works fantastic. Thanks again.
@@SteveChenFishing my buddy and i rent a 14ft aluminum boat so i always bring a 100ah lithium battery and portable fishfinder and the damn 30lb thrust trolling motor. Bass Pro doesnt take returns on trolling motors so im stuck with this weak piece of crap.
Thank you so much for sharing this, it gave my husband the information and confidence to do this at home! He bought the entire hitch, wiring and factory trim cover from Genuine Acura Parts Hub for 30% off MSRP. (Sale price $468) Shipping from Weir Canyon, California to Florida was $93! Your step by step video was better than an instruction manual!
When people finally evolve enough to understand how gps motors actually work, the complaining crowd will shrink. The computer has to make small adjustments, THEN analyze the RESULTS of that effort, reconfigure, readjust, then do it all again, all while depending on a satellite to send it ALL the information. NOW, on a CALM day, how can spotlock possibly work???? Answer? It CANNOT. That's not what this was designed for. Spotlock can only make adjustments to a CONSTANT force (a breeze) pushing the gps puck in one direction. There are no brakes to stop the boat immediately after each and every adjustment, so, it CONSTANTLY is trying to correct itself. Testing accuracy of a gps motor on a calm day is absolutely unaccredited and the results are hogwash. You must first understand how they work before you test them for judgment!
