So Douglas gets up at 9 (really down for 13 seconds) and the ref doesn’t even check him just says he’s good and Tyson gets up at 9 and the ref waves it off. Shit is whack

Buster had a knee on the ground at 10 seconds. You can clearly see it in the video, there is even a convenient timer next to the sound button. Why does boxing still use a subjective man counting to determine who wins and looses?
@@Highonlife24 the count start when the fighter touches the canvas. Douglas was already down 3 seconds before the ref started the count from 1. Usually the refs start at 2 or 3
@@Highonlife24 the ref continues the count from the timekeeper, ref has to worry about the other fighter getting to the corner. Obviously the timekeeper gave Douglas 3 seconds

Tyson was NOT robbed! It's NOT a 10 SECOND count...it's a 10 COUNT....there's a big difference! Professional boxing is the most corrupt sport in all of professional sports...if the ref were going to favor anyone...it would be the REIGNING champion as we see way too often (Anyone watch the recent Usyk/Fury fight?). Tyson was rocked more than a couple of times during the fight and had to clinch and hold on for dear life leading up to his knockout...Buster hit him so hard his mouth piece flew out of his face not to mention not being all there which is why the ref prevented him from getting hurt even more!
Buster heard 9, and got up. The bell rang, and he was saved. The ref counted the same way for Tyson, who put his gumshield in the wrong way, and stumbled into the refs arms. KO. End of story. Tyson lost, fair and square. And that's that.
Friend...we already know that Tyson lost. What we are questioning is that a count, done by a human being, is imperfect. A normal count would have had Tyson winning by KO.
Buster wasn’t KO’d and i’ll stand by this forever. Here’s why, in the boxing rulebook its a count of 10 not a 10 count meaning that the refs count no matter slow or long is the count of 10 not anyone else’s. Also he didn’t start counting because Tyson had to return to the neutral corner before he could if you look thats why the ref pushes him away for a second. Tyson didn’t get robbed its just how boxing works.
Not my logic, it’s the sports. Baseball has a specified strike zone but it will vary depending on the umpire. Boxing has refs for a reason. Boxing would just have a clock in the corner if the ref didn’t matter.
You can see the ringside counter in the white gloves. He counts four as the ref counts two, five as the ref counts three. The ref is supposed to pick up the count from the ringside counter, but this ref didn’t even look. Buster was down for 12 and Mike should have won right there.
