"The modern three-point safety belt was perfected by Volvo engineer Nils Bohlin in 1959 - and its patent was given for free to the world. The invention has saved at least a million lives worldwide." I think you get my point. I am not an engineer, and I don't know if this is an exclusive technology, but I do know that in 2024, every oscillator in the market should have this feature as Godspeed does. The annoyance of detuned oscs is an unbearable destruction and totally unfair to the creator who invests a serious amount of money to the eurorack industry.
You have no point. Detuning oscillators in a synth is not going to have anyone killed. In fact, it can often be a very suitable aesthetic choice, and in general not having oscs auto-tune only lends to their flexibility in the modular work. Shut the fuck up and stop acting like your myopic outlook on the world in any way reflects reality.
thank you. since 2010 when first Furthrrrr Generator was in the process of the designing, we couldn't realize how will be tune them 1v/oct effectively. In a few years later we did an autotune. Is not for everyone, thinking of it as of a auto-focus camera system.... but it is really convenient
Hey. Great overview. Thank you! Did I understand it right, the OSC will only stay in tune as long it’s connected to autopilot? So I need as many Autopilots as OSCs I have in my rack?
Autopilot gives you a correct offset so the pitch CV note A or C will correspond exact frequency on the VCO. Once tuned you play the melodies as usual. Is one Autopilot per VCO (Helene Vogelsinger got 7 dual autopilots once from us) but you may switch the tuner to other vcos to tune their offset manually
Oh this is freaking fantastic! Mine came in the mail today. Alas, I’m across the road buried in work. Gonna turn some stuff buttery smooth on the weekend…
First off, I love this module, and it has been at the center of my case for a while now. I was wondering, is there any documentation on how to manually edit the pot.pos files? Like, I think I could go through and save all of the positions in neutral, but it would also be nice if I knew the file format so I just fix all of the positions at once. The thing is, when I first got the module, I think I accidentally saved some of the pitches in weird positions, so now some of my samples play out of tune. Thanks for all the good work you all do!
Of course it is. I just bought mine this week. I chose it to be "🛸 the CO 🛸 „ in my case. And I really wanted it in gold, anyway. (Even though I'm going to order the panel in silver, just to be on the safe side, in case it needs to be "incognito" in my rack for a short time, just in case 👽)
I'm a bit confused. How come we don't hear the oscillators constantly? The cutoff knobs are not at zero, so I would expect to keep hearing the filtered oscillators even when the envelope is not triggered. Does the cutoff knob work as an attenuator when its CV input is utilised?
That's way too chaotic for a demo, isn't it? I mean, honestly, if i were you i would delete this video and make another one taking into account all these comments.
Ah yes, back when Kanye was good 😂 I’ve always loved the synth in on sight, and that is my favorite ye album. Generator + ghost sounds amazing, great video 🤘🏻
Great video and explanation. Very much appreciated. Also... you told me what I needed to hear right away. I didn't understand that rack modules use 1/8" connectors. All I do is use guitar effects so rack modules are not for me I guess. Another interesting thing is that the rack does 16bit to where the pedal does 24bit. That's also a big deal to me. Thanks again. You helped me to decide to get the pedal version. Also, I think this pedal needs to be marketed more in the guitar pedal world. Incredibly useful and as far as I know nothing exists like this for guitar pedal boards. Have you ever considered working with another company? Chase Bliss (out of Minniapolis MN) puts out high end guitar pedals but combines other companines. Usually 2 other companies in one guitar pedal. If you could get on board with them and they combine this with something else (destortion/overdrive perhaps?) it would for sure be a hit and you would be known in the worldwide guitar pedal Market as you should be. This pedal is too good for others not to know about it. 👍 Just a thought. -Scott in New Mexico USA
well done, but still not the massive kick he uses... I'm trying to reproduce that kick, but I don't have the experience to be able to do it and I can't find anyone who does until now.
