Thanks for the video. Just a little to fast for me but all in all we couldn't see nice rides like this without people like you putting it out for us. Thank you so much!!.
I really enjoy seeing these small Texas towns. We used to come down several times a year to see my wife’s family. I enjoyed the people, and the State. Great video!
We (Texline) played football there in 1964. Always had to leave early for our non-district games, so we stopped in Roy at the Chevrolet dealer, and looked at the new Chevrolet Impalas! Big night, they were dedicating their new scoreboard. (New paint and numbers - just hung the numbers on a nail on the wooden board) A while back! ~~Gary (Kenneth played then too)
Wow! Thats a great story and a real indication on how times have changed…hard to believe a Chevy dealer was there once!! Thanks for checking out the video!
Man, what an Awesome trip! I could almost taste that creek water and smell the mountain air. Thank You so much for taking us along on Your Quest Brother. I really enjoyed it ✌🏻❤️🎶
KNTO 103.3 FM back in 1978, those were days. 18-years-old, fresh out of Basic Training, and just assigned to the 82nd Training Wing at Sheppard Air Force base to begin my comprehensive aircraft mechanic training program. So long ago it almost doesn't seem real unless I poke through my photo album and look at my graduation certificate.
I guess we see it differently…I thought what we shot of Roy was beautiful…only shot video on the highway driving “through” Roy. If time allows, in the future we may go back and expand…same with a few other small towns between Cimarron and Tucumcari. Thanks for checking it out.
Thanks! We took and “cut through” from Cimarron down to Tucumcari for the night and drove through some RURAL areas! 93 miles and the only gas station was in Roy!
@@KeithVaughnsFlyingCircus curious how you found this. did it originate from 1/4" tape? I know the bed was created on 4-track, then mixed to 2-track, then brought back on 1&2 of the 4-track (leaving 3&4 open for voiceover). Good stuff in any format! thanks again.
I feel the same way about my 1974 FORD AKA" KRISTIE " she might be just a hunk of junk to some but she is my baby. When I die she is to be my last ride, even if she has to be towed on a trailer. My first Truck, my most loved truck.
The house you walked through at the end of this video belonged to Venta V Horne. That is where I spent most of my summers as a kid. She was my Great Grandmother. Thank you for preserving her memory.
Thank you Keith for sharing this it brought back a lot of good memories I'm a graduate of Rider high School I graduated in 1979 it's so sad to me that rider going to be gone but I know we have to move on I guess. Rider will remain in my heart and memories for the rest of my life both my sister and my brother graduated there too.
Watching you drive the VaughnChero 4hrs out of town is inspiring. I definitely would’ve flipped out if I would’ve seen you on 287. We need more guys like you on the road.
Man, that was one Super Cool Road Trip! Your VaughnChero fit right in and really looked good in front of the Texas Flag. Thanks for sharing, as always Brother ✌🏻❤️🎶
