We’re a small family firewood hobby/side hustle. I’m always looking for ways to learn/improve and get my 4 kids involved & outside when possible. Thanks in advance for watching!
92 on Oct 6th! Wow! It's in the 40's here tonight. Down right chilly! Where was that straight grain stuff a few weeks ago??!! It about gotcha in your special special place! Watch out! Eleventeen years 😂
First time viewing your channel! Question: have you made any videos or do you have any resources for identifying what breed of tree you are cutting by the bark, or by looking at the cut ends? Because you're getting tree service trees, I doubt you have any leaves to go by. Some trees like cherry are easier to identify than others
Appreciate your time and comment! Your right, sometimes with tree service wood all you have to identify wood is by the bark. I can usually tell the difference in them but if I’m having trouble I’ll sometimes use an app to help but I haven’t found one that’s very accurate. Best way I’ve found is to compare pictures of the bark when I’m not sure about a tree. The biggest help to me has been paying attention when in the woods to different species leaves & bark in the spring & summer. I try to get where all I need is the bark. There’s some good RU-vid videos out there for identifying. Hope this helps a little and many thanks for watching!! 🔥🪵🇺🇸
@@AV8R_1 I’ll check it out. I use one called picture this but, I don’t trust it a lot of the times. It helps with comparing pictures though and has other useful information on it. Here is a link. apps.apple.com/app/id1252497129
The Super Splitter J model is exactly what I plan on buying. Much cheaper than the name brand hydraulic splitters in the same bracket as far as splitting time.
That oak was the perfect wood for that machine. Keep the videos coming. Was hoping you would be at the Paul Bunyan show so I could finally meet you. Maybe next year?
Will do! Yeah man, I just couldn’t make the trip this year but maybe someday! And if so, you’re definitely one person I’m looking forward to meeting!! Hope you had a great time!! 👊🏻🇺🇸🔥🪵
i love my super splitter, one of the best investments I've made in my firewood business, hope you and your brother lineman out there doing God's work for the hurricane victims are all safe and headed back home to your families, be safe brother
The Super Split is better than any consumer grade splitter and better than most lower model pro splitters. To me,…there are only two pro splitters that perform better,…and they require a 4 way wedge. Without the 4 way, the SS is better.
I agree, it’s so productive and fun to operate. I’ll admit, when dealing with large rounds or species that are hard to split/splintery I would like to have a taller wedge with more power to push the wood through. Dealing with tree service wood I get my share of that stuff. I do love the SS though. Thank you for all the support!! 🤝🔥🪵🇺🇸
@@TwinCityFirewood you bet. I do think a taller wedge would be helpful at times. I hate whenever you have to resplit on the other side because of the wedge height. I’m fine with it. It mainly happens on the bigger rounds.
I just got my hd super split this week , I’m so happy I got it , it has handled anything I’ve ran through it couldn’t be happier thank you for all the videos showing the super split!
Great video. Oak is such a breeze to split on the Super Split. I like to even split the tiny stuff in half just to speed up the drying. These splitters are great and the customer support is awesome. I wouldn’t look at the other kinetics that are a copy of these. Great video. Have a great day
Morning Jacob , now how could someone be disappointed when they click on your video . Always look forward to a Twin City Firewood video and watching the super splitter in action . 👍🏻🇺🇸🪵🍒
Love the Super Split! Put a hurtin on mine this last week! Didn't look like you were being to picky what you put through it either, she did a good job!
I’m close to Martin TN, about 2.5 hrs from Nashville. The chimney doctors in Jackson TN is who installed my unit. thechimneydoctors.com/ Thank you for watching!!
You and Cruz out ridin the hawgs! 😎😁 I have never been able to use a grapple, but I can tell just from watching them worked that forks don’t hold a candle to them. Definitely a versatile attachment
@@McKameyFarms 😂😂. We’ve been putting some miles on those little bikes!! Yeah, grapples are really handy, especially for what us woodhounds use em for!! Many thanks Brandon!! 👊🏻🔥🪵
Glad your family come out ok from the floods. I bet you have many friends that might need help. May God give you and all the others the strength to do what you all can. Great video from Cruze. Good work.
Thank you so much. I’m in west TN, we’ve had quite a bit of rain but no flooding or damage. I hate it for those on the other end of the state and surrounding areas that have been devastated. I appreciate you thinking of us!! And thanks for your time and support!! 🤝🔥🪵
You’re too kind! I’m not always patient though, but I’m trying to improve. 4 kids will use what little patience I have up 😂😂😂 I really appreciate your compliment though!! Thanks for commenting and watching!

Hey Mr. Jerry!! So glad you & your wife enjoyed it and thanks so much for the kind words!! I genuinely appreciate you! I’m very blessed with the people I have around me. Cruz enjoyed making this video and the fan was more for the flies & mosquitoes than the heat 😂😂. Nosir, I won’t be able to make the trip. It’s just too far for me and I hate to miss some of the kids activities this weekend. I would love to shake your hand and meet Mrs. Jill someday though!! Many thanks!!
