Welcome to the farm as Val shares recipes & her Southern country cooking with you. She loves sharing anything from simple, quick & easy meals to teaching the basics of cooking from scratch. She loves growing her own food in her raised bed gardens & sharing that knowledge with you. She teaches how to preserve food by canning & freezing whether it be from the garden, the farmers market, or from the store. She considers "fast food" as food from her freezer! She is the wife to "Sweet Hunter" as she loves to call him & they have been married almost 45 years & have a big family that they adore. They are both retired and very thankful. While she is collecting eggs from her chickens or hanging clothes on the line, you can find Sweet Hunter in the back yard fishing or out hunting! They encourage you to never give up & appreciate every day because it is a gift. Faith, Family, Friends & Home are the most important things in their lives.
Apple peels are great for teas, or making sauerkraut or kimchi. The cores make vinegar. With the peels of you want to make sauerkraut with them you pop in the blender with salt, pepper, garlic powder and mix that with the shredded or cut up cabbage, onion, and maybe some carrots. Works great.
Omg mama I'm following ur directions & I Always hav PLENTY of thos ingredients in my pantry but I LOVVVVE ur Southern accent ijs I can listening to you all day LOL💗😍💗& Thanks again for sharing, greatly appreciate it so much!!!❤️💯
I always put a little milk in our eggs too because Mama always did. 😊 My husband picked some raspberries yesterday and I’m going to make your muffin recipe for breakfast in the morning. Can’t wait. I hope you’re healing well and not over doing it. I love all your Zinnias. Val, I love all your recipes. Just keep cooking something. ☺️🌺
Breakfast for us is usually mid-morning, after our first pit of coffee. Did you grow okra? I fixed it with eggs for breakfast. It was delicious. I can give you the recipe. PM me if you want it
I am so happy to find “Our Forever Farm” . Love your beautiful garden. It would be my dream garden. We love Blueberry Muffins❤ and yours look delicious ❣️
Those muffins look delicious! I love watching your videos! You are so encouraging even when hardships come your way. For health reasons I think you should do away with vegetable oils like corn, canola, cottonseed, soy, safflower and sunflower, and substitute avocado oil. The other oils are bad for our bodies. ❤️
It looks delicious, Val! I always cut my blueberries with a little flowers so they don’t sink to the bottom. Do you have that problem when you don’t do that? Thanks for all you do.
Breakfast at its best! I have a question on the muffins. Just wondering why the recipe calls for baking powder and salt if you use SR flour? I’m sure there is a good reason. Happy to see you getting around so much better. Happy Independence Day my friend!❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love dressing, but I don’t want meat in mine. My sweet mother in law ask me where is the chicken. I told her we had turkey and ham and I just made dressing. She just couldn’t understand. Bless her she had started getting dementia. She was a sweetheart. She lived with us three years.
Yummy Val!! Oh and the food looks great too! Haha You know I had to! You are a master chef! Love your vids, as you know! 🇺🇲🍿🇺🇲🍿 Happy 4th to you both! 😍😎🥳
I love blue berry in anything, especially in the muffins. I will certainly make this recipe for one morning breakfast. In fact, the whole breakfast looks so inviting and I love all your videos. Keep them coming 🎉 Happy 4th of July ❤
I make your dutch oven bread at least once a week. The hubby loves it !. Just threw a batch to rise over night to bake in the morning. I Made these muffins too but mine turned out pale in comparison to yours. They were still good. Glad to see you are doing so well with the healing of your injury. Prayers 🙏 from Ontario Canada anada
Val: love your videos and your heart as always! But I’ll tell you something: more people are injured with them with sharp knives! So I would say use the sharp knife in your grandson would be safer! But you know what you’re doing so I just thought I’d throw that out at you because it is true and I want y’all to be safe! Love you! Julia Laurel, Mississippi
We often use whipped cream cheese - easier on my hands and you don't have to soften a block. If you only use 1/2 of the pepper wrapped in bacon, try it on a grilled pork chop (we call it "Pop-a-chop") sandwich or a burger...game changer!
Well Val I've made and used this weed killer. It worked but in just a few days they were back. So I don't think it killed the roots just the leaves. Maybe the weeds in Missouri are just tougher I don't know😀 Love from Missouri
Oh no. Ours works every time so far. Of course weeds always come up somewhere. We just do it again. Maybe make a little stronger. Sweet Hunter thinks it’s the salt. Not sure.
It works well. You don't have to heat the vinegar. Just add the salt, stir and give it a few minutes and it will dissolve. IT WILL KILL WHATEVER it gets on, so carefully spray around flowering plants/vegetables. It also works best in the hottest part of the day. You will find that it is not the same as roundup, you will need to spray every 1-2 weeks. But it is natural and not harmful to us, the ground, groundwater, etc. It doesn't cause cancer. People, please stop using glyphosphates... people are dying. It's in our water, our food, our lakes, our streams, and our oceans.
