Mini-pigs have a life expectancy of 15-20 years. I'd be surprised if this little guy is still with us, even though his superior intelligence and emotional sensitivity would be all the greater after 5 years. But few owners can handle an animal whose demands are those of a 2-year-old child---a spoiled child who, moreover, is continually beating his owner at the "game" of who gets their own way. A sow weans its piglet for 3 months, turning on and off the milk spigots as necessary and brushing aside an over-loud and pushy "litter brat.". But human owners start bottle-feeding that same piglet, soon "killing it with love." Over 90% of "pet" mini-pigs fare no better than livestock pigs, which are slaughtered at the age of 6 months. The advertised "teacup pig" usually won't fit in an SUV by its first birthday! But size is an "excuse." The real reason these extraordinary pets are routinely destroyed is the animal's uncontrollable "selfishness,." To anyone watching this: Do NOT purchase a "super micro-minipig" unless you have the will-power, patience, and psychological insight to be an effective parent and teacher. (But first try locating a vet in your area who will treat or even examine a miniature pig.)
I don't know if these people still have this page and will be able to see this but I am the one that bought this little fella. He has been a wonderful pet and I love him so much. He has grown into a handsome swine. He now weighs 192 lbs. and still is a talker
