@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 hi Mike, it isn't a very long track, more like an enduro track, but manageable on a bigger bike as well. I think there a couple of "extreme" sections, single track through the woods, a bit tight but still got through. Have fun
@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 you'll be fine on the CRF450, you're a good rider anyways. It's shorter than the ABR loop, but a bit more exciting. I think they also have some gpx files around the area, but not too many lanes.
@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 you can just ride around until you get dizzy 😄 Not sure about 2 tracks, there was only one last year, with a couple of harder sections.
@robgreaves2633 I only realised last night that we had a chat yesterday before the last lap at the checkpoint. This test was bumpier that the previos day 😆
I've watched others doing this section of the TET on 790's and bigger bikes. Totally stupid because those bikes are simply too heavy for anyone even without the extra weight of luggage. Riding solo is bliss. You can't do that if you can't man handle the bike in a difficult situation. A lot of bad talk about the 690's but I recon they are one of the most capable bikes for tough adventure riders. Get the bits that are wrong RIGHT and you have a very capable bike that you'll come to love. Well done Claudiu. I like your attitude and style.
Same story for me. The TET rides you've done were for the experienced rider and doing them solo means you've reached the point where you're comfortable in any situation. Good for you and well done.
I was surprised by the result as well, I'm not a pro racer, just doing it for fun. That was the standard pedal soft like butter, it was my only fear that would happen. The grip pads were just cheap ebay, I lost one as well, looking to get something better now
It is the DMD2 app, speed and distance is all measured by gps, but you can link the app to your bike with an obd2 Bluetooth plug and you can see the bike information
Hey Claudiu, Super videos on your profile. I have a question, I'm searching a good tab and a good holder tab for my ktm690. How do you feel about your Samsung galaxy tab active 3 and your Brodit Holder ? Is the light of the tab and the robust of the holder is ok ? Thanks !! :)
Hi, I used the tab active 2 for a year and I'm happy with it for navigation, now I bought a tab active 3, it is faster and has more internal storage. The brightness of the tablet is ok, even on sunny days. The brodit holder works great for me, it is fitted with ram ball and arms from aliexpress and ebay. Tab active 2 is cheaper, but if you can, buy the tab active 3.
Ok thank you ! i noticed that the active 3 is better now, its logical. About the brightness of the tablet, I find that the "Carpe Iter" is one of the best tab for trips. Do you have an advice or a knowledge of it ? Thanks Claudio. And by the way, well done for the 3rd position with the husky on enduro race ;) @@antonio_89
@espacelibre2628 Thank you 😊 Ivenot used Carpe iter yet, but I'm sure it's better, as it is a dedicated tablet. At the moment, for me, the Tab active is a good budget compromise.
The brake saver cable ripped out of the mounting plate. I've now fitted a fat bertha pedal, and changed the brake saver mounting, hopefully will last more
I love lanes like this. I used to think I hated them until my local council started sterilising my local trails with smooth rollered type 1. Even the ancient hollow ways can now be driven in the average Nissan Micra.
Not yet, I want to ride the tetty trail this year. Is the Rhayader loop part of TET, or do you have a gpx track for it? I could combine it with the tetty trail
@@antonio_89 tetty easy ryader loop isn't tet and150 mile loop, also monks trod is good Riding, Glyn nearh and tet and tetty etc all on my door step , alot harding riding in the rct Valleys but they not legal routes but farmers pretty good.the police and councils on weekends are c#nts and out in force with drones and land rovers 😆😆
I think there I had some worn Motoz Enduro s/t. I also used Metzeler mc360 mid-hard and mid-soft. Next I want to try Motoz Tractionator Desert, but I can't find one at the moment. Hopefully this year I'll ride more of the TET, want to do the north, Lake District
@@antonio_89 motoz desert will fail you in the lakes due to it being terrible in anything vaguely muddy or wet, i know there is lot of rock up there but still , if it gets slippery you will need to be on your guard with that tyre - it wants dry terrain i run metz 360 mid hard, i think i will try mid soft next just to see the wear and how much softer they are in rock and mud, the mid hard are a great tyre but man are they hard and there is no compliance in rock or m,ud, it just diverts - very predictable tyre with long life but have to be careful eh
@@ogasi1798 😃😃😃 I had the metz360 mid hard, did about 2k miles on the rear, until it was completely gone. Now I have the mid soft, at touch I don't think it feels much softer. Both served me well on all sorts of terrain
@@everythingtenere so far I ruled out the fairing, screen and phone holder, I just have to strip the whole tower now to find out. It sounds worse when riding and just hits that resonance
I was on a 690 too, was great fun. Might need to get myself a steering damper like yours, had a few dodgy tank slappers! Unfortunately my transponder didn't work correctly as I had last years stuck underneath it 🤣
Lesson learnt there I guess, to remove old stickers 😄😄 It was my first time and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm keep playing with the adjustments on the dampener, not sure I'm expert enough to feel any difference
