I did this to my 2017 wrx and the difference coming out of the corner is night and day. Got mine on ebay for $300 and $15 each for new bearing, it was a cheap job and so much performance. It launches alot better as well.
@@stratifiedauto damn now I can’t decide uel is way cheaper tho but based on what I had seen el was the way to go, I’m thinking about supercharging it tho
I have the same problem, I changed the 2.0 Subaru WRX engine but I get that, I don't know how to remove it, I have an access port, I need to pass emissions. Help
Can you help me please. I got a smoke machine same brand but a different model and the cone that pushes smoke out is bigger so it plugs up the intake way better than in this video and at first I had smoke coming from the intake manifold because the coupler wasnt all the way around the silicone tube it was digging in it. After I fixed that I couldnt exactly see where the smoke was coming from but it was above the turbo inlet not the silicone connection but right above it. I guess my question is , If you send smoke through the system and it's plugged up tight will smoke push out of other places or is it supposed to be so much of a closed system that you are not supposed to see smoke from anywhere and pressure will build up indefinitely?
I loved the Stratified tune on my MS3. Unfortunately on my MK7 R it was regularly going into limp mode, and sometimes calling for over 40psi of boost. I had to switch tuners. This was years ago when they were just getting into the platform, I'm sure they've dialed things in.
I found this video particularly interesting. I live in Queensland in Australia. I have an Alltrack with OEM IS38 with a stock Golf R downpipe and complete R wagon exhaust. Other mods are a Golf R rear sway bar and an inlet elbow. I like it and it seems good against average Japanese/Korean cars but it doesn’t really feel to me to be as quick as a stock Golf R. Perhaps I need a dyno tune rather than the one that I have which has only been put on and then logged on the road. Currently I’m trying to decide whether to put on a bigger intercooler and try and get a better tune to eek a little bit more out of it or just get a Golf R wagon. Your dyno graph did help confirm my thoughts about the reason why an R feels quicker as most of the time where I drive it’s usually under 3,000rpm. Thanks for the content.
Yes the 1.8 will be initially slower to respond. Fuel system is also more limited but as you can see with a tune dialed in it will out power a stock R. We have fueling upgrades and an intercooler going in next so stay tuned and if you need help with tuning get in touch.
Generally no. If the tune was built with the OEM HPFP in mind you need the tune to be adjusted to take advantage of the HPFP. Let me know if we can help you with tuning the car.
Great video !! Im currently is38 in my GTI FBO on full ethanol but no mpi . I just ordered this gt2260s last night . Would I need to install an mpi kit to maintain full use of the ethanol or am I ok with just the hpfp and the lpfp upgrade ? Thanks in advance
Hi you can do either. To max it out completely I recommend MPI. We can tune either setup but MPI will give you an edge in the top end. www.stratifiedauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=332_259_261&products_id=726
Hello! Great video on this, and the torque info helps a lot. You mentioned that this was suretrac. Do you have any additional details on where you got it? Im definitely interested in installing this, though i do have a 2018, so i wanted to research a bit beforehand!
My dyno curve is much different than this setup with my BBR ITBs. I have a lot of low end from 2-4k rpm. Max tq is around 3500 rpm. Then the torque curve dies off after that. Im curious, can you share your VVT settings? Im trying to understand why our curves are so different.
Has anyone ever swapped an MQB model engine into a non MQB Passat? I am kinda pissed off that you can't do basically anything to Passats because all of the tunes and most of the hardware are for MQB cars.
Who the F buys a whole APR turbo kit, and doesn't buy an exhaust???? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever to me. This had to be done by a 17 year old kid.
Bosch is not quality anymore. I installed in a Focus and the temperature probe disappeared in 6 months caused lots of issues lots vibration engine hesitation acceleration etc. No engine code I had manually diagnose till I find the trouble maker like back in the old days vehicles with cabarator.
Has the manufacturer not yet issued a recall so that improvements can be made? And what about vehicles that have only rolled off the production line since 2024? Are they also affected by the problem?
Car has oil problems so all yall take it to the track and beat the shit out of it, then complain when something goes wrong that you dsmn well knew was going to happen! Stop taking it to the track, problems solved
Not necessary to have the sensor. We put a second map slot on the tune and you switch to the e30 tune when you have the mix in your tank using the cruise control buttons.
Sadly some of us are waiting for a future video of this car catching on fire 🔥 because you drove it over 85 mph! It will be interesting to see how Toyota Canada treats your claim lol. Jokes aside, these cars have a very bad reputation now! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Nad4CLg6F-o.htmlsi=MEBp2RFTlIE9SW2R
That’s what the media does. Loves a provocative juicy story based on 2 cars. This too shall pass. And we can go back to enjoying the car. Better yet, enjoy it now :)
I can NOT believe you are adding Cusco suspension !!! I've studied Automotive Engineering, worked for Automotive OEM up to GM, prepared racing motorcycles and cars... It's simply unbelievable knowing about existence of Bilstein, Koni, Monroe (there are amazing European choices for this car). Otherwise, love your videos (just got my new BRZ tS)
Well, now I know why you asked if I was running any octane booster or ethanol when you checked my datalog from barber, lol. Mentioned that "the car learned to add quite a bit of timing which means there was a real absence of knock." was even hotter ~35C (and humid af to boot) lol. I'll (finally) send that other log on Friday btw.
