See if you can find 9V 4A instead. There's this one www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Universal-Wall-Charger-Fast-Charging-65W_1600706809808.html ebay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185761256246
Dont most dreamcast games use .adx for audio? Would it be better to just convert .mp3 game audios to adx so it doesnt have to be decoded? this is a pretty rad project would love to sit and play rpgmaker games on my CRT over a real dreamcast.
Dreamcast games use ADX because AICA (SPU) can decode it easily unlike MP3 which does require some CPU time. But to be honest, the CPU time that mpg123 uses is very low in comparison to pixman. I could add adx or even RoQ video format later but yeah, i'm not focused on that rn
Possibly ? But i never made it as fully featured as the OG firmware. that said, if you only care for up to PS1 games, it will do. I stopped working on retrostone devices 2 years ago or so.
@@gameblabla yeah I just wanted a few sega and snes games. I had that booting issue I even did the solder trick, I believe it's something with the armbian bootloader but it's too much for me to get into.
It's not the most user friendly platform to program for. You can use liberis : github.com/jbrandwood/liberis along with github.com/jbrandwood/v810-gcc and github.com/jbrandwood/pcfxtools
@@gameblabla What early CD systems would you say are friendly to program for? I found the Atari Jaguar tools absolutely delightful but none of them support the CD addon, and I need more space than a cartridge can provide. I was looking into the 3DO, but since I own a PC-FX, I thought it might be a decent direction to go. Would love to hear your thoughts!
@@AiOinc1 Personally i prefer PC-FX over 3DO. Deving on 3DO has many issues and you're also stuck with an even older compiler. The hardware itself is a bit quirky on its own. I would say maybe the Amiga CD32 is easier ? But it's pretty slow. Sega saturn with libyaul is nice but taking advantage of the hardware is tough and people will need a cartridge to play your games (either from CD or Saroo). There's Dreamcast of course, but that's by no means "early", hehe. If you don't mind using FreePSXBoot to boot your CD-R, then PSn00bSDK on PS1 is also a good alternative.
@@gameblabla I got it running on dolphin as a sanity check, it worked, so i guess it’s caused by Nintendont not playing nice with the vWII mode (or the custom IOS I installed on it) I tried injections in a vWii title with internet support and it didn’t even started, guess I’ll just use the WII U browser from now on. Thanks for answering my comment btw
UPDATE : FIxel is finally issuing refunds after months disappearing... Do you think it's not a coincidence ? The fact that i had released 3 videos on the matter and suddenly he would appear and issue refunds ? Screw these people... But i'm glad he did the right thing.
This will be my last video on the matter, i have moved on from this mess. I initially wanted to talk about the fact that gitlab was platforming someone who was publicly saying he was a "PDF" (it was Miloslav Číž). I only found out about it after seeing his website while working on Anarch. It seems however that Gitlab has banned him after months of not doing anything. The same happened to pregmod, a slave simulator that was hosted on gitlab for years and only did they crack down recently. Good on them for finally applying their (very) vague rules after so many years and months ! (For the record, i was considering reporting him before that as to point out their hypocrisy but gitlab's response with me was so dishonest that i just gave up)
The bug has been found btw, i was copying the framebuffer twice and it was causing an internal issue in pixman related to alignment. I copied it once and it fixed the issue on real hardware. So dumb of me !
Yes and i may make a video about these too. 640x480 75hz is possible with CVT-RBv2 and even 120/240hz, with the downside being the decreased framebuffer resolution. DreamHAL actually showed these off a while back but never made a proper demo.
Yo, just in case you ever check your comments on old stuff, I'm getting an error related to SIGSTKSZ when running make sdk. tbh im at the edge of my understanding here and have no clue what to do even after a couple hours of religious googling. help appreciated, but not expected.
@@gameblabla ok thanks! I wanted to play pokemon scarlet, but I know I’ll play it for hours daily, and using the OC would probably damage my new switch lol so I’ll see what I can do
@@marcosmos7478 it won't "damage it", as it has a temperature sensor that force shuts it off if it becomes too hot. This can happen even under normal circumstances if you live in a hot room/climate. Regardless, it's up to you to do the OC or not. (there are also cheats to drop down the internal resolution on other games, if you prefer that)
You need to do the B11 to B26 fix (a wire behind the cartridge slot works for that). That will allow the game to boot but the game won't be stable as the voltage is too low (3.7V). I have not tested this yet but you need to replace R1 with a diode (1N4005) should allow it to work more stably (along with the everdrive cartridges).
Hi friend, do you have some schematic for this mod? I would like to do this... Is It really necessary change the R1 for a 1N4005 to play everdrives? Best Regards.
As i stated in my movies, it's good for SDR movies (so Bluray and DVDs and streaming stuff that's not HDR) but if you're looking to watch movies with HDR at 4K, you're better off buying any TV with local dimming support
@@gameblabla just be specific bro which hisense should i buy with a budget prices that’s good with movies and gaming i dont mind adding a couple of dollars
EN: Good job, but the link for this game is broken, you should re-upload it :( FR: Bon travail, mais l'enlace de ce jeu est en rotation, il faudra revenir à subirlo :(
Yes that's a solution but thing is, you need to solder the damn thing and all it does is restore functionality that was lost on DOL 001. If you know how to solder that shit, you might as well buy the HDMI internal mod for the wii and use that. (unless you 100% need that for GB player)
Honestly get a capture card, this isn't good enough in my opinion. There was another solution that makes use of Citra as well and using your handheld as someway to sync to the emulator, you may consider that but no idea if it would work with pretendo.
