@@RaquelTrotter I really enjoy your videos ! Thank you for letting me know ! Can’t wait to see your next video! Love your daughter’s room by the way ! Take care of you and your family! Have a good rest of your day !
Hey Raquel, The house is looking good love, you got through it fairly quickly 😊 We change the sheets weekly and put another set straight on. I’ve been known to impulse buy sheet sets so I’m trying to use a different set each time. Once laid, I spray them with fresh linen spray. I know that struggle when trying to dry linens in the dryer! It’s mostly sunny here but if it’s raining I have no choice but to use it. Good for you telling the “gym-jimmy” to bugger off lol Looking forward to seeing your remodel of your lounge room. See you next time ❤
Hello! New subscriber here! Love this video! Love that you are down to earth and real. Very refreshing 😊 I’ve been decluttering my apartment for a few months now and am just about done. I’ve gotten rid of a lot of stuff and it’s very freeing. It really does make weekly cleaning quicker and easier. I live in a 450 sq ft apartment, so if something doesn’t have a home, it’s out of here. Got so sick of moving things out of the way all the time. I’m hoping to be done with decluttering this weekend! Anyway, love your video and will be watching more!❤😊
Hi lovely hope your well 😊 I wash my bedding once a week in summer and every two weeks in winter hate sorting beds out , your doing a great job as alwayes ❤ xxx
I saw a hack to keep sheets from balling up in dryer…take it out from washer, shake and snap them good and fold twice neatly(like you’d do if dry). Two folds. Then put in dryer. Top sheet same. For some weird reason, it won’t ball up??!!!!!!!!!
'Mount washmore' 😂 ..Me too pal. I change my bedding once a week and the (3) kids bedding once a fortnight, I feel like that's enough?! But also I wouldn't leave it any longer than that. Great video x
How rude of the man at the gym !i change bedding twice a week because im menopausal night sweats and the dog sleeps in bed with me muddy paws prints especially this weather lol x
I currently change my bedding twice a week but that's because I love fresh bedding and I live alone so not much washing to tackle, when all my kids were at home it was done weekly 😊
@@Nanatracie I would love to change my linen twice a week. As my kids get older I do find myself wondering what the house will be like when the have flown the nest and also once all the pets have gone (we’re not getting anymore) I don’t know what I’ll do with myself
@@RaquelTrotter it's very different but I do still have 2 house cats so guess I'm just a mad cat lady with 5 grandkids that visit often. House is decluttered so much now so each room takes 5 mins to get it back to zero that was my aim after always having a busy loud home to more a peaceful sanctuary until kids and grandkids arrive 🙂
I wash my bedding once a week and like you I wash dry and remake my bed as I go,,,,what room are you planning on doing last hun I know your bedrooms are all first just being nosey lol sry
@@AngelCrafts1999 nosey is fine I love questions. The last room to get done will likely be the living room as it’s the most difficult room to sort out, it’s also going to need a lot of money spent on new sofas, carpeting, window dressings, and storage. The living room is just the hardest room. Like I say I’m the video it has a very cold dark energy all of the downstairs does. It needs a warm colour but not a dark colour I’m just so not sure how to handle decorating that room yet
@RaquelTrotter that sounds amazing hun you will get there just keep putting one foot in front of the other and before you know it you will be watching your old videos back and feel so proud of how far you have come
@@AngelCrafts1999 thank you. I should watch old videos back actually. Someone said the other day “you’ve come a long way from your old videos” perhaps I should look back
I hope your not offended because I think your a wonderfully honest person but if your like me and my wife we feel exactly like you at this stage in life my wife is 50 and I'm 56 I just think it's a kind of mid life crises that we all go through also if you are suffering a form of depression life can be an utter constant uphill battle but honestly you should be proud of yourself for having the strength to keep on going.
@@lorissabeaumont3109 thank you for being so kind, I’m not offended. I suspect something is happening, perimenopause, midlife crisis, depression, goodness knows but I’m working on it . Hope you’d guys get sorted soon as well
Also this layout seems like it would work so much better (the sofas where they are and the dining table etc) is there a reason why its the other way now? Is there benefit to moving it back? Just a thought 💭
@@candicemcleod1763 we have tried many times to have everything the other way round but the front room (room where table is) is just to small for everyone and the sofas etc to fit in and we’re always feeling like we’re climbing all over each other to get where we’re going. Having the sofas in the room they are in now allows us the space to feel comfortable
@@candicemcleod1763 no problem 🙂 Ben is my daughter’s boyfriend and the baby plate I got to try and help with my diet. With a baby plate I can portion out my carbs and proteins plus it tricks your brain into thinking you’re eating more so you feel fuller.
You're working full-time, running a house (where the majority of it seems to fall on you from what I've seen), decorating and running a RU-vid channel. If you're lazy, I must be bone idle!
Hi,I totally understand your despair at the sofas, even housework generally. Our last dog went over the 🌈bridge a fair few years ago now but I miss her every single day, however I absolutely don’t miss the dog hair, the muddy mess she’d leave after shaking herself off after a watery walk, she was a Jack Russell and went down any and all holes she came across😂, now though I just find I can’t go back to the mess that comes with every dog,my house has been so much easier to keep on top of. We’ve always had dogs so it’s been an adjustment but every time I’m tempted I just remind myself of the downside of a pet. In your kitchen, would it maybe be possible to have a ‘lean too’ built that went over your kitchen window? Obviously with windows so you can still see the garden, it would be far more cost effective than knocking through, it was something we had done to specifically put the washer, dryer and chest freezer into. It lasted years and only fairly recently got knocked down to have a conservatory built. It just a thought of course. I think our UK homes on the whole are quite small so not much room for all the appliances that are the norm these days. I must say I think you do a great job considering you work full time too! 👍🏻☺️
Thank you. I’m sorry to hear about your doggy. We had three collies a while ago, one went over the rainbow bridge the other had to go to a new home. You’re right about missing them but not missing the mess from them. We are going to be putting covered decking by the back door but a lean to could also work. I shall take a look around and see what we can come up with. Thank you for your suggestions
You are NOT a lazy woman. Working and then coming home to cook and clean???? That’s 2 jobs lol. If you looked back at your home in your first video and compared it to current state of your home, you’d see how much progress you have made! Could you put a shelf above your stove to put the microwave? I’d actually squeeze in 2 shelves. I might even contemplate ‘extending’ your kitchen by putting fridge and microwave in your living room to the left of your big window? Oh! You should get from Amazon the rubber backed, quilted fabric covers for your couches. They get thrown in wash every week or so and your couch will stay cleaner
@@gailots we can’t have a shelf or anything above our cooker, due to housing association regulations. There’s not really the room to have the kitchen bits in the living room plus it’s not practical, we had them in the living room when we first moved in. Your right though we have come a long way
Hi Raquel, Great vlog as always 😊you’re a trooper and hardly lazy love! You have so much on your plate is it any wonder you’re buggered. You certainly are NOT lazy. ADHD is a bugger. My son has had it since he was very young. We are still dealing with Dan’s ADHD and spectrum issues. Everyone is different and we deal with it as best we can. I agree, get yourself tested just for, your own knowledge ❤ You and Dell have done so well coming from humble beginnings as you said. You’re getting there….small steps 😉 you have a loving family unit which is testament to you both ❤ Love listening to you also, you make a lot of sense. See you next time love xox
Hi hun I hope your doing good so looking forward to seeing you again,,,,sweetheart I don't call that lazy I call that self care,,,,and hun who are they to judge anyone on how others function in their homes I think it takes a strong person to open up their homes and mental health I'm here any time you need someone to lean on hun,,,,,lol hun tysm for the funny stories I really needed this today,,,,,,I would miss you way too much if you didn't make your videos,,,,,hun you must be so proud of your daughter she really is doing a great job with her room tell her I said she is doing a fantastic job and I love her room,,,, sweetheart you should be very very proud of how far you and your husband have come sweetie your house is just a building it's you your husband and kids who make it a home and you should be proud of your home
Don’t run yourself down. You go out to work. You do all the housework and I bet the shopping. You are doing a brilliant job Just keep working towards making your home a nicer place and don’t think everybody else’s is home is perfect. 👍💐💐💐 they might have more cupboards than you hide the mess
Rachel, Don’t be so hard on yourself. We all have situations in our homes to take care of. I am happy that you will be redoing your living room. You are a hardworking woman. Give yourself some grace.❤
Rachel, I don’t think you are last at all. We all need to take a break every now and then. People shouldn’t be so critical. I find doing things in a routine I can get things done. I am the kind of person who has to put things away in the Sam place or I can’t find it. I don’t know what causes that but I don’t worry about it.😊 You’re doing a great job!
Like the old saying a woman's work is never doen 😌 don't ever say your lazy your far from it you work and keep your house clean as you probably can your doing your best sweetheart and that's all you can do and your entitled to rest when you feel the need too cleaning will alwayes be there it's never ending you home is gonna look amazing when you feel well enough to get it all doen just take little steps and don't put pressure on yourself take care your the best xxxx
