Nah they're able to use inside countermoves, its good practice for both the tackle and end to do both(not oversetting and being able to determine when to go inside). Just the way it happend nothing coached i would think at the least.
These D-Lineman gotta learn to Hit hard when you get off and need to find a move that keeps the O-Lineman off of you, I play NT, and FB, and DT and my best move off is hit hard and spin the upper half of the body and drop. It always works when they have me in a tight Grab. Just like at 7:15 🤟🏽, It was perfect.
I am so surprised most of these D1 College DL are not striking with their pass rush, they are just trying to go around the OL. Yes its a pass rush but you still need to set up the OL. You set up the OL on a pass rush by engaging them and baiting them. I don't see any violent hands either SMH.
This is way harder on the center man, he has to snap the ball AND get his hands up in time while driving with enough force to not get pushed back, not to mention that the dlinemen knows exactly when to get off the ball because they're going off the same cadence
90 on D and 78 on O are the best. Everyone else needs a lot of technique and or strength work. The kids from Arkansas and NC state have some potential but need work.
My O line coach would scream at us if we’re doing 1v1s and we move out of the way... “set your feet and keep your splits, if the defense wants to run into a gap, get set, get strong, set your feet and keep your splits.”
