I think that the big difference between velvet and chenille is only that, the velvet is more glowy than chenille and not that bulky. I worked with chenille few times and always it’s a no-no for me, because of the shedding of the fuzz and general look of finished make. I’m really curious about what’s you gonna make with StoneWashed from Scheepjes! Pro tip - start with really small MR, because it’s easy to brake the yarn when pulling close the ring. I’m also not so happy they use acrylic but glad it’s only the 1/3 of the overall content. Great video as always ♥️

Oh so much yarn! Can't wait to see what you'll make of it! I'm very curious about the chenille/velvet yarn. I tried to crochet with one 2 years ago. Hated it lol It shedded SO much! And to sew with it... My god. It was my first and so far only time using it, but I used Bohème Velvet Double from Go Handmade. So, I'm curious if the ones you bought are better :D The bunny I made turned out pretty cute and so soft :D And that was a lot of extra yarn haha Looks pretty and so soft! Ideas hmm maybe a butterfly bag? A shell? A bird?
@@garnknuten haha yeah. Sewing was a nightmare. At least until I found the tip to use cotton yarn in a similar color and sew the pieces together with that one. That worked! You’re welcome! ❤️

I live in the US and I've never used any of those yarns but the Alba looks lovely. Amigurumi are my favorite things to make. They bring such joy to people! That's for sharing. Warm wishes from the state of Georgia.
Love that you enjoy our city, as late as I am to this video 😂 If you haven't already, I recommend coming to Åbo during a summer market! There are plenty of people who make and sell yarn and handmade goods 😊 The international market is one that is hosted both summer and autumn I believe (idk, I kinda stumble into that one accidentally so often 😂) - the stalls are set up around Aura Å! Undreamt is a small finnish yarn artisan who always has a stall there, and I am really enjoying their Merino Silk hand-dyed yarn right now! ❤ They also pop up in mid-July at Turku Castle, during the medieval jousting event! Highly reccommend that one - a smaller market, but completely free of entry to come experience the medieval arts in Turku 🥰
I've heard a lot of great things about the markets in Åbo, definitely gonna try att schedule that in for next summer. The Medieval event also sound exciting.

Hobbii has been my go-to store for most of my stash 😅 I should totally do an exploration day just like this, to really scout out my possibilities! Also as a note, have you ever heard of Lankatalo? It's way up north in Päntäne, near Östrobothnia! I originate from there (swedish-speaking finn!) so I've gone a few times. It's truly awesome, supposedly known as Finland's largest yarn store! (Though tbh, lankamaailma seemed bigger 😂) ❤

Yarn Haul it is! Ouh yes, Figulus have yarn too, your are totally right! I decided to narrow down the yarn stores to the ones that focus mainly on yarns and not yarn + other crafts just because of the logistics. We would have been a little overwhelmed otherwise. 😅

My bag straps stretched as well so now I do a row of sc/dc around the entire thing (all 4 sides) and it adds to the structure and doesn't stretch out 👌🏽 You have made sooooo many amazing designs. Woweeeee💖

Hej! Tack för videon. Undrar om hur man börjar ett nytt varv. Jag har lärt mig hur man virkar halvstolpar men vet inte hur jag ska börja nästa varv. En del säger från första och en del säger från andra maskan. När jag börjar från andra maskan mitt arbete blir mindre och mindre uppåt. Även på boken har skrivit från andra maskan. Vet ej vilken ska jag lyssna på😅. Blir så tacksam om du svarar eller visar väldigt kort på en film. ❤
