Enjoy his cigars. Now a staple in my humidor. Cubans, Oliva, Petdomo and now Tatauje. I love full bodied cigars and these are the ones with a smoothness that I don't find anywhere.
I moved to Sarasota as a young man in my 20's for the sun and fun, went to college in Tampa and spent any other available time in Ybor, I love that city. I cut my teeth on Fuentes and Newman's there in the 80's and have been smoking the lovely leaf for over 35 years now. I think my max on a few occasions was 12 ~14 in one day.
MH is a damn G… Growers and Blenders are great but this guy is a student of all that but also brings an expertise of RETAIL to the game that not a lotta brands have. FT is a brand I collect as heavy as any brand in my collection. The dude knows the life… respect ;)
$19 for a cigar that we don’t make, had someone else blend it, for a guy that doesn’t smoke cigars. Thankfully they will be on sale on CBid for $5.99 for a five pack 10 minutes after release.
Dominican Republic has put out some of the best sticks. I was 9 when Cuba shut down by Castro and some farmers took their seeds over to the comparable dirt in '59 and this Tyson can be a Cuban by any other name.
@@BroMark1611 I've had many Cubans and many Dominicans. They taste nothing alike. Nobody can replicate the Cuban twang. Cuban cigars have gone down in quality and up in price - they aren't worth it anymore. I don't bother. But... Nicaragua puts out the best sticks. The only thing holding up the Dominican Republic is Fuente.
imo he nailed the description of New Orleans. a down and dirty grimy city but also America's culturally richest with its own original cuisine, music genres, festivals etc. Also agree with Steve on pricing. I routinely buy cigars online on sale for around $5 a stick which consumers who pay msrp are paying $13 for.
I never get sick of interviews with Steve. He is so raw in the interviews. He is never polished and easily the most bluntly honest man in the business. You can’t help but respect it
Same, I watch all the interviews and videos of him I can find. I always learn stuff in them and really dig his personality. And my humidor shows it. My box purchases are dominated by Dunbarton and Foundation. And my singles are a massive variety.
