Ridiculous how Knicks fans wanted Shelton Jones, who played 51 games that year, only to never play another minute in the league. All Strickland did was end up 7th in league history in assists at the time of his retirement.
I loved the fieldhouse, was just jr high age at the time but man those were good times…loved the opening tip off music from the band and how they’d kill the lights over the stands right at tip off. Civic Center was nice of course but I don’t think the atmosphere was quite as electric

Hey man, I figured it was going to be all on Malevy and Duke, especially after Rienk transferred, but Bradley got a few freshmen who can contribute come February and March.
Great era for MVC hoops and Carver Arena was rocking. I’m surprised that nobody noticed the click operator run 4 extra seconds off the clock when Dye was fouled with 18 seconds left in the game.
