This is a good video except for the annoying buzzing sound that occurs whenever a graphic appears on the screen. This is one of the few games where the Knights are actually able to hang with the Lions and make them work for the inevitable victory.
God what an awful brick fest. Neither team got above 50. Fitting that it would end on a shot that clanked off the rim before miraculously falling through.
I was at this game with Dick Hale and my future wife. The rising VT wave was still something RU was able to constrain. This was back when people were asking, "What the hell is a hokey?" It would be tough going forward after this game the way VT became such a powerhouse. It was a helluva Halloween win, though, and unforgettable. GO RU today!
Is there a clip of John Chaney commenting on that “no-call” lane violation? I remember him saying “You let the game end in a kid’s hands. Not an official in this land should get involved in that damn game in the last damn second of it!” If he were alive today, he would’ve said the same thing about that defensive holding call against Eagles’ Bradberry near the end of Super Bowl LVII which led to the Chiefs winning it.
@gregadams558 It by far wasn't one of WVU's worst teams. The 92 team big time underachieved at 5-4-2. They went 11-0 the next season. This WVU team very well could've went 10-1. The game at #1 miami was the only game they convincingly lost 35-23. Even the Penn St game they lost 40-26 was tied at 26 with under a minute to go. Good win for Rutgers and they should've gotten invited to a bowl at 7-4.
Does anybody know what that guitar riff after the Rutgers TDs is from? I know Shout is the song they play. But I’m wondering where the guitar riffs at 2:07:25-2:07:42 are from
