I love Magic: the Gathering and have been blessed with the ability to open sealed product for you all! I'm from Houston but currently live in NYC. I love hosting chaos drafts so if you're in the area and want to be invited, let me know!
Thanks for this video! I'm currently nearing the completion of my Visions full set and am looking forward to cube-drafting it. Love the fresh look and vibrant colors and the amazing artworks here. Good that you took your time with those gems, they're worth it.
I am new to MTG and ironically from the Northern NJ area would you have any stores with a wide variety of cards and cheap packs? or any suggestions for what packs/boxes to get for new players?
When you were explaining, you preferred Zen to just LL naturally in 2 seasons, is that purely from a competitive pov? I would think LSS would be apprehensive to let that happen so people who bought into zen don't worry about him blitzing through CC legality. Fun video to watch.
Super late response. Short response: I prefer Zen to naturally LL than to artificially be kept in CC because of soft nerfs/bans. Oldhim stayed in CC for way too long imo. Oldhim had multiple cards banned over multiple BnR announcements. Each ban also made Oldhim decks grow closer and closer to generic guardian.dec to the point where the end of Oldhim's time in CC he was more similar to Bravo than to an Earth/Ice elemental hero. The "spirit" of what made Oldhim, Oldhim, felt so lost and I totally lost interest in playing the hero by the end of his time. It made me sad that people would complain about Oldhim, then I felt like Oldhim would receive bans to mollify those that complained, but all the bans did was keep Oldhim around. That's my perspective when it comes to bans and natural LL. I think some heroes are just going to LL faster than other heroes, and 2 seasons is over 6 months usually of game play. I know there's "tension" of "is my hero going to LL", but I think LL is just the biggest tool in keeping the meta from being stale (the other tools being new sets + expansion slots/specialty products add complexity and hero diversity, but LL is the main tool that typically reduces complexity and keeps the hero pool for CC more 'manageable.) I also jokingly like to say, if there's a hero that you don't like playing against, the best way to get rid of that hero is to learn how to play the hero, play that hero so well you Living Legend the hero out of the game.
Thanks this was super exciting, Ronald hope you enjoyed your pulls a li'l jealous of the white 1 drop fella but obviously *not* complaining at all. Michael, hope you know I have nothing but love but pretty sure 4+2+2+7 is 15 and not 17 :) although didn't matter in the end. Got some super high wants, actually never pulled the incubator in whatever set that was most recently released in so that's going in my elemental deck. So confused how I have so many flooded strands but *very* grateful for the delta, love grief, super pretty endurance... nice box. (still have the very pretty strand from our weird zendikar battle way back when, was that with Rondald as well?
I make a guess as to what's valuable and what's not, and I'm often wrong these days and hope/rely on my viewers to tell me :) Thanks for letting me know and thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!!
@@CardswithMichael no worries dude, in all fairness i only knew that about Urza's Incubator cause I had one lol. I'm newish to the game so i guess I'm interested in these processes from a value reasoning position when i see these videos.
Wheel of potential is actually broken as it's currently written. It says you may pay X energy. Let's say you make X=50 you can then say you pay zero energy and still draw 50 cards. I'm pretty sure they'll errata it though
I love the enthusiasm in your voice when talking about the cards! On another note...I don't get textured cards. I mean the 1st thing everyone does with them is put them in a sleeve so you can't feel the texture! lol😀
Hey Michael saw you set up on tcg with some of these boxes. Would you ever entertain trading some one piece cards for a little credit towards one ? If you are involved in op still that is
@@CardswithMichael pretty sure, maybe it was another collector box, if so my mistake. But no worries. Nice pulls btw. Set is insane. My only box I got was cracked ! Came in yesterday.
print run #'s haven't been made official. but there are 750 total serialized cards since its just the eldrazi titans at 1/250. If we use the print run numbers from fallout collectors that would make it approx. 1/4500 packs or 0.00025% but people have been guessing that the print run is larger making it even rarer.
WOTC hasn't released drop rated on serialized cards for this set as far as I know. One report is that it's aprox. 1 in 8000 packs. I've seen a channel open well over 1200 packs with no serialized. Pricing is around $2500 from what I've seen and heard. BTW...it's good to see you again Michael! :)
I mean, there's a grand total of 750 (3 titans with 250 numbers each) across who knows how many boxes of all languages in the primary print run. they're gonna have to be rare!
Congrats to the awesome pulls of course :) But but but.. come on. How come I get 2 cases (not boxes, cases) with 0 CFs? 3 RF legendaries were the best thing to be found there. :( In HVY I got at a Marvel, 2 CF and 3 rf Legendaries and a bunch of common/rare CFs in 2 cases and I was whining about that as bad :D Honestly considering buying odd 2 boxes and switching to singles for future sets.
: ( variance is so high even in sealed pack opening!! i had three cases i opened in private that were very similar : ( i think the best case is just to try to expect nothing and then feel good with anything x)
there was an adult nuu in the third box, around 23:24, that you put with the bulk btw thanks for the content! loved your sealed pool thing at the world premiere <3
