ProCPR® was formed in 2002 by experts in the medical, training, IT and website design fields. This training was designed for experienced professionals who are familiar with CPR and seeking to refresh their knowledge and receive updates. After the successful launch of ProCPR.org, ProFirstAid.com and ProBloodborne.com, the company evolved into ProTrainings.com.
ProCPR® is meticulous about teaching the latest guidelines for CPR and Basic First Aid and is passionate about seeking new and innovative ways to teach and present these guidelines. In that pursuit, ProCPR® developed a network of skill evaluators and launched blendedcpr.com, which would allow any person learning or refreshing their CPR to receive hands-on training and testing while still reaping the educational benefits of multi-media learning. ProTrainings.com has certified more than 2.5 million students and supplies training solutions for hundreds of companies.
I have no food allergies...however before the horrible lockdown that happened in 2020 due to COVID, I was taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection, and I broke out in hives. When I informed my mom of the situation, she immediately came to my apartment, and rushed me to the ER. Now "allergic to amoxicillin" is part of my med records.
I am an RN, but last week I was asked by my neighbor to give him a ride to the hospital because he was in Afib. I was there in four minutes. I was walking to the door when he poked his head out and asked for five more minutes. I said "ok" - after ten minutes I started knocking and calling. The door was locked as I think he planned to come out the garage door and that's why he locked his front door I immediately called 911 and broke a window while they where dispatched. I found him on the stairs with no pulse and not breathing. As an ER nurse my training took over and I started CPR, I knew he was already gone. I think he probably had a pulmonary embolism (in addition to poor cardiac health) after he had had a total knee replacement five days prior. I wish I would have went inside or not waited ten minutes. He was dead when I went in but I still did cpr.

Drowning is my biggest fear not only for me but my kids! Learning fully CPR and having the right equipment is helpful. Knowing immediately to multitask by calling or having someone to call 9-11 while checking for consciousness and a heartbeat or pulse. Even with panic mode remain calm and continue to follow with rescue breaths and proceed with CPR.

Hyponatremia is a serious condition. It happens when excessive sweating dilutes the body's electrolytes, and too much water can make it worse. Much worse.

I was sexually abused for over two years by my grandfather. I was around a young age 5 to 7 pr so over the course of it. I just take solace in that he is in prison and my state takes guardians as abusers very seriously.

A year ago, my father lost consciousness, was unresponsive & on my kitchen floor a year ago, so I called 911 for medical help & an ambulance. Evidently the 911 dispatcher that answered my call wasn't aware of agonal breathing; I had my phone on speaker & he could hear my Dad loudly gasping for air, he never said anything to me regarding this, he was too busy being vague & argumentative, which caused me more stress during an already stressful situation. Wow! What an eye-opener. This type of information is just as important as knowing how to call 911 for emergency assistance. I wish I had learned this in my 8th grade health class or any grade level for that matter. I was trained & certified in CPR & was able to provide my dad with, that until the six absolutely most awesome medics arrived. Unfortunately, my dad died before the medics made it out of my driveway. At age 56, it was my 1st time calling 911. Wow! What a horrible call experience & let-down. Only 1.5 hours from Seattle, WA.
