To easily reposition the lock cable in the door handle, first remove the lock by losening the retaining bolt inside the side of the door. This will allow the lock module to come out. Once out grab some needle nose pliers, use it to grab the cable to stop it going inside the door, take the black bit out of its position, reposition it and let go of the cable. Repeat until the door works correctly. Replace the lock and tighten the retaining bolt.
@@elhajbah9244 I managed to get it opened. U can remove the back seat to find the screws holding the doorpad. I removed the clip that was causing it to get stuck. Works fine now
Same problem in my car... I removed rubber that you can see if you open driver door. 2 wires were broken... so i conect them and door opens.... Then i rewired old wires.... no problem so far...door opens every time
Türk kullanıcılar için çözüm önerisi Dışardan kapı kilidinin olduğu bölgeye elinizle vurarak bi yandanda kapi açma tuşuna basarak kapıyı açabilirsiniz.. Temassizliktan dolayı oluyor ben uyguladım ve tekrar yapmadı .
kapının dışından kilidin olduğu kısma tak tak bir kaç kere vururken aynı zamanda kumandanın açma düğmesine basın kapı açılacaktır. Türk vatandaşları için yazdım bu yorumu 😉

I have the similar problem on my VW sharon 2005, same door rear passenger door not looking or unlocking via centre locking with key or remote, Bur works manually
I had the same problem with my bora. the dead lock is keeping it locked, remove door card. You have to find were the screw is for the dead lock drill a hole in the door so you can loosen the screw and push the plastic dead lock away. I drilled a 25mm hole close to the mechanism to help see where the screw was just were the door card tapers off into a point so it's not visible when the card is back on.
I had same problem in my passat b5, but i fixed. To solve you need to do 4 things: 1. Dismounting the door inside (easy, find in youtube) !No need to take out seat! 2. Find the door lock 3. Cut with a saw the plastic cover of the electric lock and rotate the gears from the inside until unlock the door and then just pull the handle. 4. Buy new electric lock and change the old. Hope this helps!
i had the same problem with that same door on my car...i took out the door panel from the inside and did a conversion on the locking system for that door. Now it's just manual.
same problem, same door - octavia 2004... found broken wire (red/jellow) in rubber tube "shield"... its possible to reach it: open front door, detouch rubber from pillar and gently inspect bunch of wires (about 10)

I have a 2003 mk4 Golf and a problem opening the rear passenger door at the back of drivers side and the car is due for NCT TEST in the six days i'm really confused and don't know what to do.I went to see a VW dealer and was shocked about the price only to have a look not talking of repair charge,Could you please advise me on how to fix it thanks.
August 2015. no one seems to be addressing the problem of actually opening a deadlocked door when all the banging solutions have been tried. i.e breaking/ cutting. I had the prob on my last golf & vibrated the door till it luckily undeadlocked. I then disconnected the module so that the central locking on that door did not work I.e. always manually locked the door. I did dismantle the module completely to see the principle of operation. No soldering issues. I concluded that unless the motor actuated no amount of lever pulling worked. Once again my other golf mk 4 passenger door has deadlocked & no amount of vibration will sort it. I used a hammer drill las time, feel like scrapping my otherwise trusty motor. Final tip, as soon as you suspect a problem- disconnect the door harness or disable central locking until you are ready to actually change or repair the module. Lots of videos on this.
Had exactly the same problem. i disconnected comfort control module (its under floor on passenger side). It was wet which causes problems with central locks and windows. Without it all locks are working using a key. Try to replace or dry that module and everything should work mint
I managed to open my jammed lock like this: Stand outside next to the door and hit it just below the handle where the lock mechanism is repeatedly while repeatedly pressing the unlock key on your remote. Hope this information helps someone.
