Since 1986, Forge has been passionately pursuing Jesus' mission to raise up more Kingdom Laborers - people whose hearts have been set on fire and live purposefully, sharing the love of God with everyone in their sphere of influence.
While Jesus said, “the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few,” we believe His prayer request for more laborers is being answered as hundreds of thousands of people are embracing the call to impact the world around them… the Laborers are increasing!
Forge comes alongside churches and ministries to challenge and equip people to make spiritual decisions and activate their God-given purpose. We create global and multi-generational impact through Dynamic Preaching, Practical Equipping, and Discipleship Resources... Advancing the Kingdom every day, everywhere!
3:42 This is a gut-check I realized a couple years ago. You’re not moving **outside** of your comfort zone anymore if you just go back to the same place over and over. I have faith I’ll see them again, but I don’t need to go back! I need to go to the places where Jesus isnt talked about. I promised islanders when I went to Helene that I’d come back to see them, and I’d pray for them, and as I’ve grown I realized, MEI already has a mission house and a team stationed there that loves Jesus and help keep their churches there on-target. They don’t need me physically there, they just need my prayer and maybe word of mouth.
"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones." (Psalm 137:9) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not trying to suggest that the Bible takes a position on this one way or another, but given the diversity of voices of the various writers of the Bible throughout time, you can pretty much shop around for a verse to support whatever position you want.
Thanks Nathan. It is a nice reminder of the grand encounter with Jesus. You're believable, and appear approachable. I'm sure that in camp settings especially, the students love you.
I don't think I understand how not liking slave traders, who often would kidnap free people and make them slaves as you said, somehow makes the entire Bible 100% against slavery as you said. Because there are other places where the Bible condones lifelong chattel slavery. Something that has always bothered me. And I've looked into it for myself.
i REALLY appreciate this podcast where it is like we can sit in on the conversation as you "unpack" these verses. SO much came more alive to me even in light of the fact that I felt I knew these passages and loved them. It is SO much more now. THANK YOU.
Amazing evening! I’m so excited for Abby to grow, learn and experience going with the Gospel. I am praying for all these young people as they continue to walk out their faith❤️ and for Forge leaders. Thank you!
