I believe they have changed tips and they do work better now. I used 7 cans last week prepping my vehicle for winter and had zero issues. I put several cans in a 5 gallon bucket of HOT water for about 10 minutes prior to starting and then shook them very well and everything went great!
Sounds like the truck had a lot of rust and repairs before it was fluid filmed. What do you expect when your fluid filming a truck that's already Rusty
Why are you having a fit over a stove that has lasted 4 years. I have a pleasant hearth ph50ps which is worked with absolutely no problem for 7 seasons now average 3 and 1/2 to 4 pallets a year and finally this year it looks like the igniter is going to need replaced. It should be no problem to come up with something to use for a pin or drill it out for something.
800 bucks...1 year later they are selling them for 12-1400 bucks. I'm sad. Trying to figure out how long a 20lbs propane tank lasts you pulling at least 2000 watts vs Gas..have you tested this?
Dallan Stephens 1.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase Died after 6 months of occasional use-- Warranty service ---say they will call but don't!!! Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2023 Style: 9,000-Watt Dual Fuel Yes I bought this generator in March it ran really good for a few months being used every other week for a short period of time then about a month ago it started having issues when starting with some smoke coming out like the choke was stuck in the on position if you turned it off again sometimes it would start up and run fine- then it would hardly turn over so I made sure the battery wasn't the issue and had it tested. I even tried a new battery and it did the same thing- but it did run once after the new battery just fine then would start again now it won't even turn over. All the lights come on the front and the battery is on a trickle charger to keep full. I have changed the oil as recommended and checked the air filter--- just yesterday I found some troubleshooting videos and went through them. I checked the oil level and then found and disconnected the oil sensor wire to see if that was the problem. No change I am needing this up and running because the RV is being lived in and we use this to recharge our solar unit every so many days for an hour or two. My problem sounds like a common problem in the 1 star category!!
Been runing myself that mixture for a while. My original reason is that ss was about 2x more expensive as FF. But I want something runny/liquid to go everywhere inside frame. SS was a bit to waterlike and leak and stain the car when it get out. But by mixing both it just create the perfect product.
Yup these are trash. I bought 4 cans and all clogged up and stopped spraying well before half the can was used. Back to fluid film. It's unreal that these made it to production.
I am getting ready to swap my engine out. Have one on the way. Appreciate the info. Were you able to leave the AC system intact to avoid having to recharge. Also. Would it be better for me to unbolt The torque converter Before removal because my engine is not frozen.
I thought SS was gonna be it, but... Just got off phone with Blaster support The bad news is SS is just a barrier coating and contains no rust inhibitors or carrier agents to help it migrate\creep Only good for undercoating exposed metal(kinda) Bummer
DO NOT BUY A DUROMAX UNTIL THEY HAVE A WAY TO PURCHASE PARTS! NO PARTS ON WEBSITE OR AMAZON. I CAN'T EVEN GET AN AIR FILTER FOR MINE. CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG.
why didn't you cut your lineset to the proper length? No wonder it doesn't work worth a shit, how's the oil return cycle suppose to work with all those loops you got going on there.
Not sold on Surface Shield yet. Cost about twice as much as Fluid Film. No real prof it does a better job. I like black coating on the chassis. That rust and grim look aweful on the bottom of your Ford, yet I know it's protected. As I am, I'd rather not see all the crud.
I just got this for my moms house. It looked really sweet and i got an awesome deal on amazon prime day right now. I wanted to get her something nice and reliable for her power when it goes out.
I use woolwax in frames, especially high wash areas. Thicker, greasier, the only thing iot does get a good layer of dirt stuck to it. Surface shield being thinner I spray into door panels and such.
Surface Shield now 261bucks for 5 gallon bucket on Amazon (in U.S) . Are you in Canada? I bought 5 gallons woolwax 3 years ago. Only needed about a gallon and a half for my pickup truck. That stuff is thick, still adhering to all surfaces. I just touch up spots here and there with cans of surface shield when I do oil changes.I also use the surface shield in panels and doors since it's thinner.
It was acetone that you use that's affecting the finish. The acetone causes the surface to bubble. This is due to the towel people use to apply the acetone. Doesn't matter how much you clean the towel it will still have dirty and little micro cotton balls that will transfer to your surface and ruin the finish.
I mean, you aren't supposed to constantly repeatedly jump cars with these things. They're made for emergencies. My JNC 660 can do at least two cars in a row off one charge. I know cuz I've done that many times. (Chevy S10 and someone else's car). If you are at home you need to attach a trickle charger to your car battery. If your car battery is completely dead you need to replace it.
