@@ballisticfox9033 Thank you. Downloads are running. Is there a way to test it without blackracks clouds? I am about to aquire them but would like to test everything beforehand.
Released stuff like two days ago actually, check my discord server I was waiting a little bit for feedback to make sure I didn’t forget anything before posting about the new release
@@ballisticfox9033 i'm banned on discord, and your server require emoji selection to access all the channels, so i cannot download latest version, only via google drive :(
i love that the moon has a subtle variety of colors like it does in real life instead of the usually shades of grey. Would be cool to see a fork of rational resources in which those colored spots actually contain different resources, like lithium or lead. Might do it myself once RSS-Reborn is complete.
My biggest issue with RSS is the disgusting transition from the dynamic mesh to PQS textures. I would kill to get terrain like what’s shown in this video in RSS. The RSS planets just feel too flat… Like there’s no point landing on them, cause there’s nothing to explore once you’re down there. Edit: Looking back though some of the content in this channel, it looks like something like that’s already on the way, I assume though parallax or something. It’s incredible watching you guys push KSP farther and farther. You could tell me RSS-Reborn was a AAA game and I wouldn’t doubt it for a second.
Sorry for ignorance for a bit The moon feels different but im not sure what changed? I looks like there is different shading and reflections on parts of it but im not sure?
Changes from the previous video are: Fixed multiple scattering math Added a porosity coefficient Implemented both shadow-hiding opposition effects and coherent backscatter opposition effects, the two main causes of opposition surge which is the bright glow you see
I have this installed, with 64k earth, mars, and moon, however. It does not look that good. I have the graphics settings as high as they go and parallax 4k on as well. Is there anything additional to the instructions that needs to be done to enable these textures, terrains etc? Specifically when I've noticed coming close to the moon, it doesn't seem to have a lot of detail. And a slew of other bugs such as giant spike pyramids showing on the moons surface while flying over that are thousands of feet high, stars disappearing as soon as you right click even though skybox dimming is off, etc. and also a dark circle shadow almost that is on the surface radiating from camera position showing less detail (sometimes)
Stars dissapearing sounds like a DOE problem, not RSS-Reborn. Have you made sure to follow the instructions carefully on the google fourm? Also, make sure the special fork of Kopernicus is installed. Normal Kopernicus had a lot of bugs in my case. Also make sure you have release-4 of Blackrack's volumetric clouds mod.
@@benzene_sandwich DOE : Department of Energy? 🤔 Yes I've as much as humanly possible followed the instructions on his Google sheet to the letter on three separate occasions. It could be something I'm missing somehow but I very slowly and methodically went line by line word by word. Yes kopernicus is installed via the included link in the instructions. Blackrack I have his December release not the new deferred update. I can't remember which number that is and I'm currently at work.... For the DOE ironically.
is ksp 1 mostly open source? if so i see no reason why the community can continue making advancements and changing its code to be even superior to ksp2, as has already been done such as yourself
If there was a way to convert the 3d models from google earth to the ksp earth, that would be amazing. The buildings wouldnt look good from up close, but it would be worth it
You, Blackrack, Gameslinx, the RSS/RO/RP-1 dev team, and the rest of the KSP modding community should be very proud of yourselves. You've all volunteered your time and talent to make something that puts KSP2 to shame in terms of visuals, performance, and features. That blows my mind considering KSP2 is produced by a professional game studio with a huge budget. Sometimes I look at Reborn and can't help but compare it to MSFS visually. This is far too hot for my little laptop with an Iris Xe iGPU to run, but I'm about two months away from having finally saved enough to buy all the parts for my dream PC. It's going to be a 7800X3D/4080S build with 64GB of DDR5. RSS Reborn will be the very first game I run on it.
Hi! I know this is an older video, but I've been looking for the mods that create such good reflections on the Apollo Command Module and other things that should be reflective, I'm not sure what mod does it lol. I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
What's really insane to me is that KSP2 requires a similarly monstrous machine as RSS Reborn to run smoothly, yet it looks like comparative garbage. The KSP2 dev team must have royally screwed up with their optimization.
WOW, it simply looks amazing. If you release this project, could you also add a patch like smurf, to let us play without depencies like realism overhaul ?
