Does it hurt the machine if I position the handle always down? The hole on the top seems like a dust catcher for me, babe gecko hiding there can be a nightmare
Interesting review. Thanks for sharing. Just bought this machine to replace the Nespresso that just stopped working. I've only had the unit for a couple of days, but noticed right away that it does tend to drip, and is, IMHO, not as robust as the Nespresso. Two questions. Where do you get your xxl pods? I've never seen them in the shops. Did your machine have a metallic taste at the beginning?
Hi there. Thanks, to answer your questions, I did have a metallic taste but literally only the first couple of coffees and it settled, not long enough to worry, for me. As for pods I got them off Amazon. They do a box of official xxl’s. 56p per pod but that does make 2 cups.
My parents has had this in their home and 4 shared vacation homes. Not a single one is still working. The one in their home just broke a couple of days after the 2 year warranty..
Great video, looking forward to the comparison to the Outin - in the mean time do you know if you can use this with the Outin stand as they don’t seem to make one of their own?

Interesting. I have the Sjöstrand version. Have had some issues with decaffeinated coffee cup. They seem to drip through much more difficultly than "normal" cups, building up a lot of pressure. This happens with all brands of cups we have used. For the rest it is a wonderful and beautiful machine.
Can someone tell me the point of having different nespresso machines? Is it only for the looks? I have tried couple of machines and coffee from these machines taste the same. Genuinely asking
some do have higher pressure, some have differing functions such as amount of water passed, some with extra features. but in all honesty, you won’t be able to tell the difference between machines as long as they are decent and not £10 Argos machines (if there is such a thing, you get the idea)
check local guarantee/warranty laws and get it sorted. unfortunately this happens with almost every company, especially where tech is involved, hence why you’re protected in law.
conqueco is better, it gives more creamy coffee. and is more reliable. conqueco has also an adapter for ground coffee which I have, it delivers absolutely delicious coffee. i think the brew pressure of conqueco is higher, 15-20 bar, which makes this possible.

I have one of these, after 3 months the pod failure rate was 100%. Customer Service have sent me a complete new pod holder assembly, which so far works ok. Mostly use a Wacaco Nespresso NS2, which is totally reliable - it has much better seals than the Conqueco and is much smaller, but you do need a kettle.
I had the older version of the Conqueco and it worked fine initially but now ‘ruptures’ the pods every time we use it making the espresso undrinkable (as full of granules). Am now awaiting delivery of the Outin as reviews that this have persuaded me to give it a try!
I got the conqueco first. Cheaper and more brews per charge. Sent it back for one reason which you didn’t mention. It doesn’t come with a ground coffee option. They sell one separately and it was out of stock, but that brings the total price right up beyond the outin. Otherwise I agree. The outin looks better, is lighter and more compact AND the option to use your own coffee grinds is included!
Been considering getting this but was worried it would be too noisy so your demo was super helpful. There’s a 25% discount just now so went ahead & got it. Thanks for a useful video!
I did see that from others but I get some but none more than other machines I have. Any dripping that does happen can instantly be stopped by emptying the pod out.
@@TheCoffeePodChannel Think the issue from some reviews was the constant leaking / dripping of water as opposed to the coffee drips. But based on your comment that does not seem to be an issue for you. Thanks again for your help.
have made couple coffees so far, my first ones. First latte was with too much water, wrong glass choice :D but now i get correct size mugs and in just a minute I can already enjoy my morning coffee. btw , that cleaning they show on manual at first, should I clean it before every use ?
Good one. You don’t need to clean it every time. I flushed it through every week or so (that was with 1 or 2 coffees a day) and descaled it when required (I have a video on how to do that). HTH
Double click button if using hot water, long press is for cold and starting the water boil function first. Guess it doesn't matter as it seems to work but not as per instruction.
Is that additionnal basket 51 or 49mm ? i have a 49mm sitting at home and really curious if i could use it intstead of the Outin one. (Coming from picopresso)
@@ebikecnx7239 yes I prefer the picopresso taste however this device offer a simpler workflow and you dont need a kettle I actually have both right now but I tend to really like the outing ease of use :)
Hello Robyn, This would be fine. Literally out of the box all you need to do is put a pod in, close the flap and press one button. You CAN change it if you need too, but Id be happy without having to do that, so think this would be fine.
Good video. I have the case and basket pro. The case, I took out the pods holder and there I put my grinder. I can put the pods somewhere else. I can fit the Outin, grinder, pod attachment, basket pro and a small scale in the case. Its snug but works.
I accidentally didn't screw the bottom bit probably so it tilted when trying to make a coffee, I took the black part of and underneath the actual machine was left over water, is that normal or have I damaged it?
