Quite a few improvements. Backfoot is more stable, bat face is better - he's playing the ball straighter and not slicing it, before he has a big step towards the ball which improved, he's leading with head more afterwards and lastly he's playing the ball closer to his body
I like how he keeps his eyes more forward during the shot than down at the ground. I think it’s been proven that you can’t watch the ball onto the bat but you see so many players with their eyes pointing straight down at their feet as if they’re trying to. Reminds me of Justin Langer who maintained a more out in front or forward looking position with his eyes.
Make sure you work on your balance, don't over stride while driving or have short stride. It should be balanced from where you can adjust also if there's any awkward behaviour of the ball. Do one step drive drills, head leading drills . You will get better.. and most importantly visualise that you are improving.
Sam’s technique is so good. Have seen a lot of him batting at Middlesex and he seems to be getting better. He has some serious stats especially when you consider the pitches at Lords have been horrible over the last few years and yet he churns our runs at the top. Great to see.
