Y'all work in an airport! Literally their first order of business should've been to get an interpreter down there smh!
I agree in the core life message here. Beautiful!!! I must say. Problem I still have is that both the perpetrators and the do gooders as well as all the sidekick actors/actresses in the street/shops are goddam white caucasians as if the entire planet was filled with them in this movie. Knowing this was supposedly in Hollywood back in the 80s where everything was hunky-dory by the American standard, so I shouldn't be complaining too much. I just couldn't help but being a Japanese national with conscience and a bit of sinical.
I went to the a car dealership with my father on two wheeler and a salesman sees us in the parking lot, when we entered the showroom he was the one assigned to us, he had a smirk on his face, we were checking out the cars and when we were done, we started to walk away to which he got agitated and said I knew you were here to waste my time you just wanted a tour. Little did he know that my grandpa bought 32% of that dealership and we were there just to checkout what cars do we have 😂 Suddenly manager approached us knowing it was us and that salesman guy got an earful from the manager realising what he had done 😂. PS: we have a construction material business and we were kind of shabby!
Sorry but no matter what she wears, Julia Roberts in this movie would be a headturner. I love watching these clips not for the honestly shtty "love" story but for HER like danggg womannnn💃🏻

Ela se aborreceu do tanto que foi mal tratada no dia anterior no qual ela adentrou a loja com as roupas, vamos dizer assim: "mais casuais" que ela costumava usar. O Edward a acompanhava de perto, com grande zelo, apreço e apoio. Além do que na vida real os dois atores, Julia Roberts e Richard Gere são verdadeiramente amigos. Por isso o filme foi um sucesso. Os dois estavam em perfeita sintonia. O julgamento das vendedoras foi previsível e daí a saia justa em que se meteu. Edwards passou batido e seguiu com o jogo, sem se importar.
There was a shop in The Domain in Austin years ago that I visited when I lived there. They were extremely rude and judgemental, wouldn't help me with anything or answer any questions. I sincerely hope they went out of business, something I don't often say.
The retail staff sold their roles perfectly. Person comes in spending tons of money, oh yes you absolutely suck up to them. Commission is a fantastic motivator. And the manager gets to brag to the ownership about a massive lump sum profit.
Best scene ever, any movie. How many of us ,shall we say women on budgets, have ever dreamed of walking in and just buying what we want, never looking at price?
My favourite part of that sequence isn't in this video - where Edward tells the store manager that he'll need to do some more sucking up and the manager's like, "well, you're not only handsome, but a powerful man..." and Edward tells him he meant for Vivian, not for him. 😂😂😂 So good.
