Hi Everyone, I’m Diane and I paint in watercolor. On my channel, art and creativity are always fun and calming. All my videos are easy enough for beginners and returners to do. The materials needed are absolutely basic, and you don’t need much space to enjoy watercolor painting. I hope you find the videos entertaining, fun and helpful as you go on your watercolor journey! Thanks for sharing this it's so beautiful! A technique that I have heard about but personally haven't tried yet; you can use sandpaper on your watercolor pencils or inktense pencils, blocks etc. then you hold whatever product you choose to use over the area/ paper you want the little specks to go and rub it gently with the sandpaper ( only on the product area) and then the specks of pigment will go on and you can spray the area or spray the paper beforehand, like brusho. I have heard it works very well with inktense because of their very bright color. Have you tried this technique before? Have a wonderful day!
Diane, first let me tell you how much I enjoy your lessons. I have learned so much about watercolor from you! Second, I have some of these from card making days, now off to find them and try this new idea on a bookmark or two. Thank you for sharing with us newbies this beautiful medium thru your love for it!
Always enjoy a line and wash❤️gorgeous- my favorite part is where you add just add the petals to the brusho spots - amazing how the light and shadows are already there - the second is my fave👩🎨💕👍thanks as always- happy painting
I was sorting out my art supplies the other day and found my set of Brusho and now here you are giving me inspiration to get them out again and try something beautiful. My project for the weekend. Thanks Diane for showing me how to use them to create something magical. Have a wonderful weekend 😁🙏
I've been watching your channel for 3 years I have learned so much and continue to learn and grow in my watercolor journey. Thank you. You are a true blessing to anyone who does watercolor, learning, or experienced.
An exellent video on how to use Brusho in a controlled way Diane. Other videos I've watched just sprinkle and spritz and create an unpleasant mess. Very pretty paintings too, they would both look absolutely lovely framed, and really cheery to look at, especially on these dark, grey days in the UK...
Black Brusho is something out of this world! It is made out of all of the pigments mixed together to give the color black, when manipulated with water and a brush like traditional watercolor. But if you float lots of water onto the paper and then sprinkle the black powder on the wet paper (like Diane did here) you will see the most magical thing ever: you will get a rainbow bursting and moving with the water in the paper. Try it, see how much fun it is! BTW all the Brusho powders are made like this, each has two, or three pigments in their composition and all do the same thing like described above. Black is just the most beautiful of them all, in my opinion. 😊
Hi Diane! Those flowers have beautiful colors...so autumnal! It's great to have a lesson about loose painting...I'm still trying to loosen up. Love seeing you and the cats and dogs...such a relaxed setting in your studio and all look happy! 😊🥰😺🦮🐈
I love this! I bought Brusho a couple of months ago, and had no idea how to use it. Thanks so much for the video. I am going to get my Brusho out tomorrow. Oh, and, I like your new intros, it's nice to see your where you live and your creative environment.
I have the ken oliver color burst powdered pigments, similar product, they are cool for backgrounds... I will have to get them out soon and experiment with them again
I like them both, they are beautiful in their own ways. I have not used brusho before, I might just have to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I love it that you have made accomodations for your limitations. As a special ed teacher with my own limitations, I see you doing exactly what we want our students to do getting on with their, (er.. my) lives. Congratulations for showing us the way!
I love this, Diane. The different mixing techniques in particular. I learn a lot watching you work. I'll do without the palm trees and pretend it's Cornwall! 😊
Yes this is for sure don't give these brusho to children!!! I make a mess with them besides they are dangerous if they get it on their fingers and put that in their mouth. You know how children are everything goes in their mouth. Have a great night and thank you for the flowers very pretty. JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸.
Beautiful ❤️ you are making me want to get out my Brusho! I have lots of colors and I ought to make a new swatch card today. I've just got a Derwent Inktense pans set. Do you have them? I'm thinking they might make good friends ❤ Thank you for the demo. There are so few really.
For me the first one has more depth with the ink. Adding the green tones with a brush just made it more beautiful. I've never tried Brusho but have seen a few mixed media artists use it. I'm not so brave😂
I definitely love the first one better with the ink. It’s very pretty without, but the ink makes it really pop. Thanks. I have some black or brown brusho that I got a while ago, but I forgot I have it. I’ll try in soon. Thanks!
Thank you Diane for that lovely video. That must be one your most beautiful ones. The painting is so soft and flowing and yet striking and vibrant too. Gorgeous! I do hope you put that one in a frame on your wall 😊
