Andrew McCament is a singer/songwriter/do-it-yourself musician based in Franklin, TN. He has been singing since a young age but only recently started writing his own original songs based on his own life-experiences.
At every turn he's acquired new skills as a musician - first he was a singer in choir and in his A cappella groups in high school and college. He played a little guitar as well. Then he started recording and uploading his own covers of pop/musical theater/rock hits to RU-vid (@AndrewMcCament). After a few years he decided to learn a new instrument - piano. He then began to write his own songs and record and produce his own music.
That brings us to today. He plans to have a huge 2021, releasing his debut full-length album. He writes songs about the human experience as a whole and knows that people can find comfort in relatable, catchy, and vibrant music, just as he has in the past.
Decided to check out some covers of this song while working, and you were the first one that popped up. Holy cow.. I literally just cried at my desk. Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
WTAF. I did not expect this to be that amazing. But your vocals are spot on, the vocoder harmonies are perfect, and the overall effect elicits that same haunting melancholy feeling of the original. Just incredible. Also very impressed with your breath control which I know is challenging in this song from the brief attempts I've made at singing it alone. And that ending was perfect, awesome job! thanks for sharing!
Not a day went by when I didn't play this. Sooooo beautiful, I wonder how it would sound with the drums played on the Honeymoon version! soooo dammmmnn good i bettt
Don’t want to be that guy who is pointing out mistakes - cause this guy did awesome. But I feel like it may be worth mentioning for anyone looking to play this on the guitar. The song starts with the chords G, Dm, Cmaj7. Looks like he’s playing G, D, Am. (Which is what you switch to for the chorus.) the progression should go G, Dm, Cmaj7 (I believe 4 times through,) then swaps to Am, G, D. Song ends with Fadd#11, C, G. Cheers, great cover!
Andrew. Can we being friends? I have a lot of questions to make it. I see u singing with a sm57 the song of James Arthur and bro, i really like to learn how to config the mic to sound like that. When I was younger, I saw my daddy cry And curse at the wind He broke his own heart and I watched As he tried to reassemble it And my momma swore That she would never let herself forget And that was the day that I promised I'd never sing of love if it does not exist But darling, you are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception Maybe I know somewhere deep in my soul That love never lasts And we've got to find other ways to make it alone Or keep a straight face And I've always lived like this Keeping a comfortable distance And up until now I had sworn to myself That I'm content with loneliness Because none of it was ever worth the risk But you are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception I've got a tight grip on reality But I can't let go of what's in front of me here I know you're leaving in the morning when you wake up Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception You are the only exception And I'm on my way to believing Oh, and I'm on my way to believing
thanks for the wonderful cover! The following words will lean a little on stereotypes, but that's how I feel. You came up with a slightly different version of the song with a different way of understanding feelings (which is correct, because everyone puts their own into it). The image Aurora chose for this song is perfect. She is a pearl - gentle, immaculate, ignorant. What she feels is too much for her. But it has already entered her life and it is impossible to remove it. Her soul reacts to this, in some places she is playful, even though this is new to her. she feels that way. You have such a “male” version - more straightforward - your entire cover is imbued with tenderness from beginning to end. You accepted this version of yourself immediately and unconditionally. That's what I felt
