As a past teacher, I taught an intersex child in 3rd grade. The mom chose for him to be a girl. He was obviously a boy. But she made him wear pink everyday, pink bows, pink shoes, skirts, and my heart broke for him. I caught him going in the boys bathroom several times when no one was around, I had to hold him while he cried at the playground because he was not allowed to play football with the boys. The other teachers were aware, it was a small community, and constantly reminded him of what little girls did and didn’t do. He was amazing at football, none of the boys could catch him. He had a crush on a little girl, and his mom met with me and demanded that they not play together. I was told by the teachers that the mom had his male parts removed as a baby. I often wonder what happened to him when he got to high school. It truly broke my heart what he had to endure. There needs to be more education about this in the rural communities, and everywhere. To this day, I still say a prayer for him when I think of him. I did my part in the classroom, and let him be apart of the boys when he wanted to be. But outside the classroom, I had too many eyes on him and I could not. The mom was resistant to any conversation about his identity. 🍎😢
Interesting but probably quite disturbing job at times. I've worked as a cleaner in schools and when I was much younger as a care assistant so have had to deal with all sorts of bodily fluids. Used to put Vicks under our nose if we were dealing with unpleasant smells back in the 80's. One of my grans was a bit of a horder. I think it was due to the rationing after the war but she definitely got much worse after my grandad died. She would keep magazines, newspapers and tinned food, food packaging and mints. We used to try to clear stuff sneekily when we visited her. When she went into a home we had to clear it all out for the council to re let it but the family all cleared it. We should have got professional cleaners in really. It was quite sad discovering just how bad things had got.
Sounds like she's had an interesting life and glad it's inspired other women. 😄 Would have felt safer clubbing etc back in the 80's with female bouncers being on the doors too. A lot of the bouncers were just out to pull at some of the clubs. Most pubs back then the male barstaff would be used on the doors as my hubby used to have to on new years eve.

Finally I'm just now finding the truth. Grew up strict Babtist, checked out JW's, went to the kingdom hall for 2 years. Still wasn't convinced it was right. Then with the Bible and Paul Wallis found out the real truth. The Hebrew words were not translated correctly about the name of God, god's, and a Elohim. Jehovah is not the creator, he is one of the Elohim. If you want the truth, check it out. Oh, and I'm glad you are finding out what's truth and not dogma and control.
"Half your holiday" i did it in just under an hour and yes you have to get close to everything. Ive only caught 2. 1 ABB and the dude was sexually strange from the start. Second was hotel. Seemed like probably a recent guest. Security was hooking it up to a laptop when they got it out of the tv monitor. 😂 its pretty rare but if you get one just i case you get weird vibes it could be worth it. Do your research!
Ah, the dread of receiving that call from the group overseer when I forgot, or was too embarrassed to hand in my field service report. So much about that organisation I do not miss... (translation - elder messages or calls to ask the amount of hours door knocking you did that month so he can write it down on your congregation records) I was born and raised JW. I genuinely believed there must be something wrong with me because I did not have joy in the ministry. The lack and fear based mind control is something you'd have to experience to understand just what a tight grip that level of programming holds over its members. The Australian royal commission into CSA and reading the secret elders book that was given in evidence and the lack if concern for the survivors was what woke me up to this corporation. 5:19 yeah the huge water tank place was the offshore survival centre at Fleetwood nautical College.. It’s a really really good Centre when they run the open days, go and have a look at it. They can simulate storms oil rig fires helicopter crashes everything and they’ve got a really deep tank and wave pool

I am 59 now; my mother converted from Baptist to JW when I was 6; by the time I was 15 I had left the JW religion, never having gotten baptized in the faith. I never agreed with the patriarchal mindset, especially seeing so much disfunction within the elders of the congregation and their own families.
This reminds me of my ex. I lived with him for 4 years and it's like they have a small sliver of emotion. More like a shadow and they're angry they can't feel it really. They really do get addicted to their lifestyles too. Especially if it affects one of their senses. He ended up being murdered at the end of last year because he wouldn't stop.
Where are the people now, who say there are only women and men? It's clear we must differentiate CLEARLY between sex and gender. There are three sexes: female male and intersex. And endless genders since we came up with the word gender. Strictly connecting sex with gender, makes people more confused about who they are. Let's make wearing dresses not a female sex only thing. It's open for any sex to express their gender freely and individually, as they are. Gender is nothing else than a social role that anybody should create within their own comfort. <3
Interesting story, I like how he is let to talk. They are very good at blending in, you don't notice them. I hope they are well supported after they stop working, but knowing the government I doubt it.
An interesting story. He touches on the challenges faced by males, I think there is a huge problem around the way men in particular are treated specifically by social services, the police, the courts, employers, by the banks. MPs are not interested in the poor legislation, the civil servants, agencies, etc, out of control, unaccountable. The Post Office Inquiry gives one angle on the mentality of staff who were convicting people just because they could. Perhaps the way men are treated, how those institutions behave is worthy of some revelations. The media are very good at presenting an official story, and even when that is proved wrong they hate retracting, correcting, apologising or putting things right.
How could my dad remain not only an elder but become an overseer when my mom had been disfellowshipped? She has recently become a JW again since that happened.
My brother and his wife won a little over $300K on a slot machine in Vegas. Being Canadian they were able to get back what was retained for taxes purposes. They always enjoyed gambling before within reasons. After they won, they turned into full on gamblers. Within a few years not only they lost all they had won but they kept on gambling and lost just about everything. Winning that money was the worst think that could have happened to them.
I was a teen father, and a couple of field service people would come by every other week. Eventually, they stopped coming, i would usually be stressed out and tired, but it was not overwhelming to have company ,they probably got tired of me and my teen father issues.
I don't know if it’s because of a lack of diversity in the team of this channel but all the Black people they had (apart from the intersex guy) are either representing drugs, prison, or gangs oh and a murderer! We as Black people are deep in so many other topics too… not just in the stereotypical ones.
