I remember how Reagan with his executive pen took away the Veteran’s college years benefit I planned to use to pay my tuition. My father fought in the Korean war and he came back disturbed by it. He died at age 36 when I was six years old leaving my mother with four children to raise on her own. That was 1969 before women could have their own checking account or credit card and when many women were expected to be “stay at home” mothers. Why did Reagan think it was okay to treat numerous orphans like crap whose father fought in the Korean war. I bet they did the same and worse to those who fought in Vietnam. I despise Ronald Reagan and his pathetic “dynasty” image and the 80s “ME” generation of big money.
The LBJ one is ironic. A guy who killed 70,000 or so of young American troops and probably killed 3,000,000 people in a country that had nothing to do with us, talking about how we have to love each other or die. And why is it his voice counting down to the nuke, if he’s swearing he’ll prevent nuclear war?

Someone made a big mistake in filming the ad: at 0:42-0:44, I believe I can catch a glimpse of two visible minority kids watching the US flag being raised. It just does not fit with the rest of the all-white cast. How could that have happened?
Literally crime was at an all time high at this point. All these people in the ad are all white people buying homes… why be nostalgic for a racist administration that literally sold crack in the ghetto to screw black communities?

I keep re-watching this..I cry when I do because I ended up having two beautiful daughters like this poor girl. Having been a firefighter, I am very sensitive to burn-related stuff. So, SO happy that she is okay.

This commercial is literally during the peak crime rate in the US of ALL TIME! Cities were war zones all thanks to Reagan selling crack to screw brown people. Hence why there are no minorities in this ad.
