good day where can i check to see why the windshield not want to go down when switching off yet works no problem with the switch up or down r1200rt bmw
Thank you for uploading this precious video! The sand in the swingarm is probably sand left inside the mold from the casting manufacturing process. When I disassembled my Monster 1200S after watching this video, the same sand came out! There is also sand with a diameter of 5 mm or more, so it cannot be an invasion from the outside. DUCATI's part management quality is poor! It is presumed that the sand in the mold that was not removed has been peeled off due to long-term vibration. It's a shame because Ducati uses good products.
Ha ! 😂 nice. Mine weren't as bad as yours. I've got a severe case of Bike OCD ! I use about a 2ft length of cloth x 6" fold it down about 2" wrap it twice round the pipe and use Autosol crome polish and pull it backwards n forwards polishing the full circumference of the pipe. I use the same method on End Can on my GS but with a Single.... works a treat 👍
I use Autosol as well and have been happy with the results. I have used long white gym socks and split them length wise to make a longer buffing cloth.
@@gmcharlton Your timing is perfect. I ordered some wheel buffers from Amazon and used a Japanese buffing compound that I had used before. It turned out well but I need to try and keep up with it.
The top of headers start to yellow again fairly quickly - a few months. So it something to keep as part of routine cleaning. It was about 2 years since I had last done it.
Nice vid. Looking to do the chain and sprockets on my 2012 Multi. I quite like the idea of that sprocket carrier. Where did you get the carrier from. I have seen a Renthal for around £140 and JT sprockets carrier for around £80. Just wondering which one you bought. Thanks.
Thanks for your comment. I used the JT Sprockets and carrier. The carrier is very light, being aluminium, but I've had no problem with it. I did use a steel sprocket. Done about 5K miles since the change.
