What i like alot with this trick is, put the front foot a little under the bolts with the toes sticking out a bit! jump back and you’ll see that your front foot catches it nicely. At least for me, BUT try it!
Hi I know your pain and I know eaxctly why it didn't work. 1.) Your are doing to much with your front foot. 2.) Move your front font more to the center of your board. 3.) The whole shuvit is done by the back foot. Position of the foot ist good with the toes in the pocket. Now you have to scoop it more with your backfoot. What does that mean, the back foot makes a quater circle movement to the ridining direction. In extrem, your back foot crosses your front foot in a circulare movement. Like the backside shuvit. You are also doing a circular movent of your backfoot behinde your front foot. What me also helped in the beginning is, to turn your shoulders more to the riding direction so that you are looking more to your nose of the board. Keep on trying. You will get it. Don't forget to learn it switch and fakie as well.
this video is so creepily well timed because i just started learning frontside shuvits today and i came back from my session around 6 hours ago, right now i am struggling with them as well and your first attempt is literally how its been going for me its so hard to get my back foot on because jumping back feels so scary lmao
Hey man, I am trying FS Shuvit myself. Cool to see someone else getting closer at it :D I quite struggled with my flip tricks when I wore tight jeans just like you. After I changed from skinny pants to slighlty baggy ones, i could do my tricks with much less force. I felt much less constrained... Maybe try it yourslef ? Either way, Good luck with your progression <3
everyone here saying its not a real trick. if youre a skateboarder you know anything is a trick. i also saw someone say this isnt a pressure flip and it absolutely is
Thank you for testing them in a variety of ways. I'm still pretty new to skating and can only really do an Ollie and casper flop, but I think these will help me get more pop to start.
Keep going! I’m 37 and have osteoarthritis in my knees and it’s annoying, feels like it’s worse than having a broken bone cause at least those can heal lol
Definitely try more mini ramp stuff!! There is an indoor mini wooden mini ramp and I think it's in sac. It's low impact and wood hurts less than concrete lol so it's nice to learn how to drop in on a wooden ramp. Love seeing the progress my man! One day we will skate together haha
I loved the video and the trick, but couldn't hear your voice very well. Super happy to see you putting safety first! Your dedication is inspiring!!😊 Keep the videos coming.
I’d actually bring your back foot in a little. Don’t let it hang off the board. Then try focusing more on jumping instead of the mechanics of an Ollie. You understand that part now, so focus on a quick spring-like jump and the board will follow. I use my arms to get higher. After crouching, I swing them upwards.
for your back foot you should make sure that only the board is hitting the ground, if your foot and board hit the ground your pop will be inconsistent, this is a problem most people have and it’s probably the easiest one you’re going to fix. your front foot is also too angled, you want it parallel with the short axis of your board
Get your board much more vertical for your foot drag and use your arms to get more lift. Crouch more drop your arms down and even bend and cross them to get low and give you more upward arm swing. Then begin the Ollie motion by swinging those arms up for lift off. Board pop to steeper vertical and get it!
@@plusONESkateboardingyou are regular just like me its your left foot you need to put your left foot right before the first pair of bolts and make sure your sole is aligned with them, in the video is kinda in a 45 degrees angle and it needs to be in a 90 degrees angle idk if Im making sense but both your pop and flick feet need to be aligned? Same angle
1. when u crouch down dont stay down there long like you do. think of yourself as a spring. crouch and leap out of it as fast and as high as you can. 2. no need to touch your deck when you crouch. 3. yep you got it. people hold their board down after they pop with stiff legs. when you crouch and leap as fast as you can you gotta suck those legs up into your chest higher. hold onto a fence if need be to get comfortable with jumping much higher after the pop. 4. slide your front foot all the way up past the concave of your nose.
