I can see them doing something like this again without Ed of course because at the end of the day if you think about it they all grew up together I don't know I just think things go in circles and it's a possibility music first right There was just something about these guys when they were all together and I was at the show great show
I saw the Crowes in 2013 for the first time at NYC's Terminal 5. The BEST, most kick ass rock n roll show since Zeppelin played MSG in 1975 and 76. I told my friend after the show "wow, I really missed the boat on the Black Crowes, what happened? "He replied" we were still hanging onto the Grateful Dead and the late 60's & 70's (and so were the NY radio stations) which, if memory serves me, did not play a lot of Crowes, except for Hard to Handle and Jealous Again. Those hits were just the tip of the iceberg! This group is FANTASTIC with a massive catalog of outstanding music. .Sooo glad I found them, been listening ever since. Long live the Black Crowes!!!
I was there. So cool to come up on this video all these years later. I can hear myself yelling in the crowd, many times over. For a die-hard Black Crowes fan such as myself, this setlist is a thing of dreams and the best part was having Marc Ford in the fold, once again. The Mick Taylor/Rolling Stones analogy is spot-on. He takes the band to a whole new level of awesomeness.
Where it all began from the 2 brothers of songcraft, sometimes bordering on contempt their relationship over the years has only made the music more pure.Beautiful cover of Lowell George's Willin. Thanks Mr. and Mr. Robinson, I could listen to Rich noodle away on that thing with strings for days on end! Thorn In My Pride is so good!
Have you listened to his solo albums? Perhaps they require a little bit listening, but at least the last two were brilliant. Especially the last one. ✌️
I wish I could give Boa a hug for recording these shows and putting them on youtube. Boa (RC Garthe) is a legend amongst us Crowes fans. Love you brother. Rest in peace....
