Why do some people still call MySQL "my sequel"? Sequel is a defunct database management system that hasnt been sold since the mid 1980s. Nobody uses sequel. They use S Q L. MySQL is pronounced _my,_ then the acronym, S, Q, L.
m-Power isn't building the database. It lets you build web applications over your existing database. That being said, m-Power supports all types of file types in a database, like PDFs, images, signature capture, etc...
Yes, you can upload documents. m-Power can be hosted on-premise or in the cloud and works over any relational database, so you choose where the documents get stored.
moving access to sql server and then link front-end of access to SQL server is too slow to retrieve data. How to improve this? For me it takes 45scs to retrieve data. Example I have a main Form with a subform. Its takes 45scs to retrieve data. Cause to rebuild my front-end will takes years. Any Advice?
The best way is to move the Access data to a database, and then build a web-based front-end over that database. The data retrieval time should be nearly instant if you move your data out of access and use a web front-end.

well ima freelancer and Access expert, i can create one for you, which instatly saves/loads data (you won't have to change your frontend, i'll make it good)
Hi. It’s very informative, but in the video explanation unable read it completely. I have a similar usecase to auto populate city-state-country values by making an ajax call to city-list api from the frontend enrollment form after user enter a postal code. We have to populate city, state and country if there is a single response. If the Google api provides multiple city and countries for same zip code, we should populate those city and country in the dropdown, state will be auto populate based the city selected by a user. Any helpful ajax snippet references and thoughts on this scenario ?
This is more for bringing Access data to a database that you can then create web applications over. It's not a good solution for creating Access front-ends or local versions.
It doesn't connect directly to Excel, but it does make it easy to move your Excel data to a database. Once it's in a database, you can create any type of web application over the data.
Most modern apps are horrible, cumbersome, clunky and the white backgrounds burn your eyes out. Thumbing around on a virtual keyboard on a tablet? No thanks. I'd rather just use an AS/400 terminal emulator.
Do you know what we called PC programmers back in the day? I'm a retired as400 programmer / developer/ maintenance biodesign you name it I could do it. What you referring to doing is not programming, it's cloning someone elses work. Let me ask, did you look at the old code to make sure that this there were no special subroutines specific to this system? You these tools make someone who can't develop a program on there own look like something they are not. I'm not a PC guy. So many things to the software just annoyed me to where I'm happy to have left that world. I got hurt and it was a long time before I recovered enough to consider going back but by that time i just lost my passion. RPG rules, PC's drool!
@KornOil Synon had a similar application 25 years ago that generated a system without without needing to be a coder. It generated crap code that was awkward to use or maintain. Yes, this application says 'not coding' but it is generating code for an end user so technically you are generating code so by extension that person is a programmer/coder.
