@team.orr.crew are a family based in the South East of England, specifically the High Weald of East Sussex on the Kent border.

Expect to find content here covering:

- Motorcycle Vlogs,
- The 2023 Yamaha MT-07 owner experience,
- Trips out and visual tours of destinations,
- Opinions on eateries and local roads that you might like to try for a ride out.
- The learner biker experience as the kids take on the roads with their Rieju MRT Supermoto Bikes.

The channel started by following the exploits of ‘Team Orr BMX’ which used to be our family BMX Race team.
We raced in the U.K. Southern Region and also the U.K. National Series.

The BMX racing and occasional MTB footage is now much less as the channel focusses more on all things Motorbike.

Hope you enjoy watching us :)

@@derekf7798 I had the dyno work done at Dart Motorsport in Wadhurst. www.dartmotorsport.com I’ve done a video (audios not great!) which talks a bit about it and has the before and after charts on it too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vixfAylJ8Pc.htmlsi=i2rwng1yY5aYEf33 There weren’t massive gains to be had, but we smoothed out the curve improving low power manners and found a bit extra top end where the power dropped markedly with the original map. It’s nice to know that it’s not too lean now and it runs really nicely. I love riding this bike now, it sounds amazing and it’s smooth and fun to ride. Hope that helps a bit. Yo, I've only just come across this video and was wondering; after 6 months of riding it, would you recommend this bike to someone considering all the ups and downs you've possibly experienced comparing with other bikes in terms of specs, prices etc..
@TeamOrrCrew
@TeamOrrCrew 13 дней назад
@@Sviios Hi there, I love this bike and I would be happy to recommend it to anyone. That said, there are a couple of things to consider when I make that statement… 1. I’m a complete Yamaha fan boy, I always have been and my love affair with Yamaha started way back in 1985 as a 17 year old when I got my first RD125LC. I believe they’re considered classic bikes now! 😐😂 2. I wanted a simple/raw bike with no electronic rider aids. The reason: less to go wrong, I’ve never had a bike with them on, so won’t miss them, makes the bike cheaper, easier for me to tinker with as this bike is likely to be a keeper for me. So at a similar price point the Suzuki GSX-8s and similar bikes probably give you more for your money. But, the sound of this thing when you put an Akrapovic or similar pipe on it is just fantastic. I smile every time I start this thing up, it doesn’t get old. (I’m running an Akrapovic race-line straight through pipe now.) If you compare paper stats the MT07 is definitely trailing behind its competitors, but as many reviewers attest, it’s not the full story. The ride is engaging, the engine is beautiful and tried and tested, I’ve remapped mine to fuel better with the new pipe. There’s not many gains to be had, but smoothing the power curve improves the on-off low power fuelling and improves around town manners. Fitting a quick shifter (it’s quick shifter ready, so plug and play) adds to the fun factor. My initial clutch issues (gear changes under high revs) vanished after the first service and now it runs nice and smooth. It’s a great road bike that has a fun factor whilst being easy to live with. The sound alone sold it to me and the MCN reviewer describing it as a modern day RD350 (one of my all time favourite bikes, hooligan wheelie machine of the ‘80s.) sealed the deal. So I’d recommend it, as a pure riders machine it’s amazing, but if you want the latest rider aids, then perhaps look elsewhere. Hope that helps a bit and thanks for the positive engagement. Appreciated 👌😃

Dunno, just can't seem to like those tablets instead of analogue dials, makes the bike look cheap. Otherwise lovely bike.
@TeamOrrCrew
@TeamOrrCrew Месяц назад
I prefer analogue dials too, but I think that’s just because of my vintage (I’m in my 50s now and started riding in the ‘80s). The TFT is actually pretty good and in the flesh doesn’t seem like a budget component & I’m growing to quite like it. The phone connectivity is a missed opportunity and quite gimmicky in its current format though in my opinion. I suppose these sort of things are quite subjective and many share your opinion, I’ve heard it a few times now. Each to their own. But I think TFT screens are here to stay, the MT07 isn’t a retro bike, but even the new XSR900GP in the Marlboro colours that is definitely aimed at gents of a similar vintage to me who remember the Rainey era, etc. and gives a huge nod to the retro/nostalgia of 1990s GP racing also has a digital screen, albeit tucked inside a fairing. You can have your dials, but as with the analogue tacho on the MT07, you have to display them as an on-screen option. I guess that’s just the way they make bikes these days? Thanks for your comments though buddy. It’s nice to get everyone’s perspective and point of view on here. Appreciate the interaction, thanks bud 😊🤙

Thanks Fella, I couldn’t resist the plate. I wanted ‘MT07 ORR’ but it’s not available unfortunately, the one I bought suits our logo (we keep Whippets) and was under £200 so done deal as far as I was concerned. 🤩 I find the pipe makes for a more engaging ride. In fact the sound of the CP2 engine with the Carbon Akrapovic RaceLine Pipe was one of the major influences in me buying this bike. It’s almost a muscle car burble, very pleasing!😻 I run mine and in fact had the ECU mapped to the pipe with the baffle IN. It’s quite loud even with it in, but you can ride it quietly if you keep your revs down and select a higher gear which is what I do around town. I pull the clutch and coast past horses and the like. It’s not too loud, but from stock the difference is significant! The titanium Akra is maybe louder than stock but quieter than mine, but I’ve not heard one other than on RU-vid. They’re expensive though. Thanks for the positive comment and engagement. Much appreciated buddy. 👌😃

Looking at getting the mt07 brand new soon is the akrapovic worth adding as an accessory from the dealer as their offering £750 towards accessories at the momoent
@TeamOrrCrew
@TeamOrrCrew 3 месяца назад
I think so. One of the reasons that I bought the MT-07 was for the engine note that the Akrapovic exhaust brings alive. For me that’s reason enough 😆 The titanium versions that are on the Yamaha accessories list are slightly different to mine. More expensive, still emissions compliant, lighter and sound good, lots of folk remove the baffle and that beefs up the sound even more. Mine is the straight through racing pipe that gets rid of the catalytic converter. I’ve noticed it’s significantly louder than stock and the bike seems perkier. The bike’s currently with Dart Motorsports for some dyno work and a remap as the racing pipe makes the bike run quite lean. I’ve asked for before and after power and air:fuel ratio curves so they should show definitely if the pipe has increased performance or not. I’ll probably do an update video when I get the bike back. You’ll find the Yamaha approved Akrapovic exhausts are in the ball park of £1,500, you can pick up a pipe like mine for about £800. Hope that helps a bit buddy. Thanks for the question 😃✊🏍️💨

@TeamOrrCrew cheers for the reply iv bin watching all your mt07 vids to learn abit more about them as it's top of my list for the next bike , just dont like the colour schemes on its competitors an don't need half the tech that comes with them

Thanks for watching my videos Bud, I hope you’re enjoying them. 👍😁 I was the same. I’ve never ridden bikes with all of the tech. For me the MT-07 is a keeper so a raw bike so to speak was attractive as the electronics on other bikes become outmoded fairly quickly and the riding experience on a bike without the aids is a purer experience in my opinion. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t like the latest KTM or BMW in my garage too. But I’d be wanting to trade it every couple of years to get the latest electronics package. That’s simply not the case with the MT-07 as a pure unaided bike. I’m loving the MT-07 experience, I think you will too. I’m with you on the colour schemes too 🤩 Enjoy it Fella and safe happy riding! 😃✊🏍️💨

Enjoyed the ride was great. 😎 I’m gonna go buy one this weekend. No 23,s left they said I have to order a 24. Popular bike want it for commuting. Running out of room on the garage. This will be my fourth bike. Always say I’m gonna sell one when it comes down to it I can’t part with them. I have a 22 plate triumph rocket 3R and a 73 plate triumph speed twin 1200 and a 20 plate Honda cb500f but we all need a hobby to enjoy. The mt 07 looks like a great reliable bike. Lots of great reviews on them. Thanks so much for your opinion on the bike. 😊

Thanks for reaching out and for the positive comment 😊👌 I think you’ll really enjoy the MT-07, I’m settling into the bike quite nicely now. It’s my first 4-stroke twin and the CP2 engine makes it a really fun ride. In the past I’ve always had large in-line 4 cylinder bikes and one 2-stroke twin (RD350), this thing is as much fun as the RD but much more reliable at the same time & it makes it’s power in a very different way to the in-line 4 cylinder bikes, perfect for lower speed shenanigans, but fast enough at the same time. Good luck with it and safe riding. I’m loving your bike collection. A bike for every occasion and why not? 👍😁 Thanks again fella. 😃✊🏍️💨

😂😂💪😂😂 Will do. It will be a little while yet while I recover my finances to a normal level after spanking them with the mods so far. I believe it’s an easy fit and there are some videos on RU-vid already showing this upgrade. Both bikes use the CP2 engine, so it basically just fits and uses many common parts. Be a cool little mod if I can find the time and money to do it. 😃✊🏍️💨

Nice ride out and about and see first signs of spring. Mods do look good and I must admit I do like the idea of doing my bike test. However would need something more comfortable with maybe a back support lol .

Beautiful bike. I own the 23 MT-07. When I ordered the Yamaha branded tank pads the package only came with the 2 sides and not the center pad. Did yours come with it!?

@@TeamOrrCrew Ahh ok, I love the way it looks and fits on your bike! So far I've done the Womet-Tech EVOS sliders, front fork and rear axle sliders. The Yamaha branded tank pads and Quickshifter. TST Mech-GTR front signals as well as their fender eliminator kit and integrated tail light. Rynomoto bar ends w/ CRG Hindsight 3" barend mirrors. Lastly some white hooligan Yamaha decals on the wheels. Turned out nice :) Next is the Akra titanium system. Love the way your bike sounds too!

The aftermarket pipes make the MT-07 sound amazing! It’s one of the reasons why I bought the bike to be honest. Your bike sounds fantastic! You’ve definitely been busy with it. 😅

Great bikes. I’m at the other end of the spectrum having had sports bikes in the past (R1’s etc…). This thing is so much more fun and more than quick enough for the road. Enjoy and safe riding Bud 🤙😃

Hi mate, what camera are you using to record this?
@TeamOrrCrew
@TeamOrrCrew 3 месяца назад
Hi, I’m using a GoPro Hero10 with the media mod to allow an external mic and the GoPro Max Lens Mod which you probably don’t need, but I quite like it. I used a cheap Amazon mic, but have since started using the Purple Panda mic, also from Amazon. It’s all attached to my helmet using a chin mount. chinmounts.com/en-gb Hope that helps, thanks for getting in touch 😁
