Hey there You with the stars in your eyes. Love never made a fool of you, You used to be too wise. Hey there You on that high flying cloud. Though she won't throw a crumb to you You think someday she'll come to you. Better forget her, Her with her nose in the air. She has you dancing on a string, Break it and she won't care. Won't you take this advice I hand you like a brother Or are you not seeing things too clear? Are you too much in love to hear? Is it all going in one ear and out the other?
I’m turning 60 in two weeks and I have loved this song since I was 8,9, or 10 ? When I found it in my mom and dads albums. Played the heck out of it and love to sing it.
Frankie Laine's unique interpretive voice was like an instrument in itself on this recording. I'm grateful to my mom for turning me on to this hidden gem that she remembered dancing to as a teenager.
This thing walks, where's the complements to the video creator, uploader, and most importantly, the vocals of the wonderful Miss Kay Starr and backing orchestra?
I grew up with this album my Mom always played... now I am making a iPod for her with all her old favorites to help her keep her strong memory going with her still strong mind... and I love these songs!
Very nice rendition of this song. However my personal opinion is even though this song was first recorded more than 60 years ago I think The Righteous Brothers and in particular when It was preformed on the Andy Williams TV show own this song. But I also have to say that the version Sha NaNa did when they copied the version used in the movie Joey is something else. My mother was a big fan of Eddy Fisher during the 1950’s so I was introduced to him then. My dad, bless him, was in a Big Band in Los Alamos and a bit later in my life pointed out to me, still a kid but who loved music, the trumpet player and said something like he’s going to be a big star. Well that man who played in the band that backed Fisher was Doc Sevrenson. I am to this day surprised to know that he backed Eddy Fisher.
People always say they love Johnny Mathis, and of course they should, but Tommy E. had a voice equally as smooth as Johnny's and the songs were just a memorable. RIP both of them.
I wore this lp out and busted many of a hobbie horse springs in the early 80s. The best thing iv ever found in record crate at a garage sale. Hell bent 4 leather. ❤
I heard and saw Frankie Laine singing this at the cinema about 1954. He wore a bright blue zute suit. Can anyone tell me what the name of the film was? Would appreciate it. Thanks
Quelle belle surprise ! This song has been my favorite for a long period…. But i sadly forgot it….thanks for bringing it back in my life .Que de merveilleux souvenirs elle évoque ….Merci André
