Don Aaron has been the MNPD spokesman for far too long. Because of his outright refusal to admit wrong here, he needs to resign, or better, the appropriate person needs to fire him.
Good job, Mr. Garet Davidson. It is evident MNPD does not want to be monitored by an outside organization. It is also evident they do not want to be held accountable. Hence MNPD wants to investigate themselves, because they'll naturally find themselves innocent. Provided MNPD's less-than-stellar track record, they need to be monitored and held accountable by the citizenry of Davidson county. Fun fact concerning the history of MNPD: they raided my nephew's funeral. My family and I were trying to mourn the loss of our beloved family member, and because MNPD decided to raid my nephew's funeral, this furthered our trauma. Appreciate that, MNPD. Back the blue until it happens to you.

It’s sad that this young man has died, but unfair to blame the event management for water stops. That’s ridiculous. Why aren’t these participants carrying water? If you’re participating in road races it’s part of your training to maintain proper hydration for these runs. What kind of training are people doing where they don’t carry proper fuel and hydration for their personal needs? Race fuel and hydration stops are a courtesy. Those stations are manned by volunteers. If you aren’t able to be responsible for yourself/able to figure out when to stop … and don’t want to carry what’s needed - you shouldn’t be out there.
The law always asserts that a woman met her fate intentionally. Missing? Ran away. Attacked? Out late. R-ed? Dressed because she wanted it. Despicable.
A bribe?…… what would you possibly be bribing a goodwill employee about?…….. an extra 10% off your freaking purchase?…… I don’t shop at Goodwill anymore. They got these multi million dollar buildings that they’re putting up all over the place and the stuff that they have on the shelf to sell. It was nothing but a bunch of crap that they want brand new price for.
Goodwill will not give items to people in desperate need. People whose house has burned down cannot get some clothes to get through a few days without paying. Goodwill is all about profit for the company, IMO. Upper management makes in the mid 6 figures or more. You notice they say they are helping people out by giving them minimum wage jobs. If that is the case, so does Walmart, Target, McDonald's, Wendy's, etc., but those companies are not considered "charities" like people feel Goodwill is. Goodwill has become a scam, IMHO.
They didn’t make the donation to Goodwill fools. They make the donation to an employee. Had nothing to do with company policy. Scripting cash on behalf of Goodwill, I understand. But that’s not what this was. I know this is an old story, but the attitudes still exist. I built a new home in Mt. Juliet years ago. It’s a great place to live and this tarnished that.
